Guys, I know the next 10 years are going to be tough for you.

The sooner you can accept that the easier the transition will be for you and you won't be swept under the rug by demagogues like Trump.

It will be tough on me and my business when Polycarbonates are no longer available because there will be $0 value to making the stuff. I suppose that we can switch back to using the sheets of Mica that were used 100 years ago ... all this because of an internet poster with incurable case of tunnel vision.

We already got rid of coal.

Someone forgot to tell BC that coal has been eliminated

I'm sure there will be some transitionary period until we become carbon free by the end of the century.

Carbon free energy ... perhaps. We will likely need a breakthrough in fusion technology to produce enough of it steadily around the clock and that may or may not come. All of tge other stuff that we make from coal and petroleum will only go up and up in demand as we fill the world with consuming humans. Our populaion could double by the end of the century.

No, there are already alternatives to plastic which will eventually be mass produced and replace their fossil fuel versions.

Typical sheep talk.

But let's get back to the topic instead of stoking your fears.

The technology lacks in terms of (battery) storage, capacity and driveable range... This also does not take into account the needed infrastructure to distribute the electricity, let alone how the power will be generated.

Now you know why carbon pricing is important.
