I'm confused. So far as I know none of the native leaders are Premiers so why would they exspect to be invited to a first ministers conference?
I do know one or two things about Liberal gatherings, acess is not always for the working class, and evidently other sectors of our society as we are witnessing,I imagine Liberal gatherings are under the direction of old stock, who do not recognize it is a different world from the 1980's.To attend Liberal gatherings of any significance one must have alot of cash,a law degree or a meal ticket friend,I can imagine it would be even more difficult for recognition.
regardless,I think it was a smart strategic move for aboriginals to be present, name their agendas, and strut their stuff, this is what politics is all about,"let them all know before one arrives so the lobbying can begin".
Brillant move,great leadership,
possibly other repersentatives could make some smart strategic moves, such as the RCMP association
The Court in Ottawa hears the last appeal in any Treaty case so that would make them under Federal authority when it is all said and done. Who picks up their legal fees would be another indication who has the last word. (the other party can be the monitoring one that sees the things are followed through on. There are no Canadians at the end of the tax year.I'm confused. So far as I know none of the native leaders are Premiers so why would they exspect to be invited to a first ministers conference?
Because resources and the environment are to be the hot topics. Both involve First Nations to great extent.I'm confused. So far as I know none of the native leaders are Premiers so why would they exspect to be invited to a first ministers conference?
It's so nice when people who defend JT finally admit exactly what core Liberals stand forI do know one or two things about Liberal gatherings, acess is not always for the working class, and evidently other sectors of our society as we are witnessing,I imagine Liberal gatherings are under the direction of old stock, who do not recognize it is a different world from the 1980's.To attend Liberal gatherings of any significance one must have alot of cash,a law degree or a meal ticket friend,I can imagine it would be even more difficult for recognition.
A little bit of both, but shush, she's tearing apart the Liberals nicely, lol. This isn't a "Liberal" gathering. It's a First Ministers Meeting. You do know what that is, right? Or are you, once again, showing your ignorance and commenting on something you don't have a clue about.

And letus no forget JT's promise of Nation to Nation.

The Six Nations tried that with the League of Nations, Britain used it's influence to pressure the Netherlands, Persia, Panama, Estonia and the Republic of Ireland who all supported formal consideration of their application, to remove their support. Leaving Duncan Scott free to make his case against their application, without the Haudenosaunee present to state their case or defend their position. If the FN groups got it together and lobbied the sh1t out of the UN for a decade or so, they could probably get a UN demand that Canada has to treat with them as independent countries.
Hmmmm, no, not really.Canada might ignore it but for the most part, Canada has done what they are told by that body.
oh excuse me,i guess i was providing an example that acess can be limited by design so very easily,i should have stressed that from the beginning,This isn't a "Liberal" gathering.
