As a neighbor there is no problem. However, what if they tried to change your neighborhood so that you had to follow the rules from their country?
I would take a look at their rules and perhaps adopt some. Perhaps there are a lot of similarities between our rules and their rules. Perhaps I might even make suggestions as to how they could improve on their rules. My point being is that I don't care whose rules are around that I follow, if something better comes along I will adopt it rather than digging my heels in and ranting about "us" vs. "them". The whole idea being objective enough to see the benefits. Ithought that would be obvious.

According to that same Bible, the love of money is the root of all evil. A point illustrated by Bush's oil profit motives for invading Iraq and for threatening Iran.

``The reason no one supports the removal of Musharraf is that no one know who might take over.``

That did not stop Bush from invading Iraq or from having right wingers applaud his every move. So that certainly is no excuse.

I see, so no one is allowed to learn any lessons from Iraq. Good to know. :p

Yeah, esp those Democraps who still haven't learned to demand PROOF of those ridiculous Bush claims about Iran. Yet, they seem quite eager to butt wipe the treasonous SOB.

Not quite true. The reason no one supports the removal of Musharraf is that no one know who might take over. There are an aweful lot of people who would like to get their hands on pakistans nuclear weapons and other advanced armaments. The region is extremely tense and with India and China next door...the dangers are multitude. Fear not. Elections are coming to Pakistan.

My bad. I should have stated that "no one" referrs to those that can do something about it. "No one" does not include others politicians who want to replace him. China, India, the USA, Russia (basically all the powers that be) will not force Musharraf from office. And in light of the current political happenings in Pakistan it doesn't matter. Democracy, Musharraf's own sensibilities and the grassroots movement in Pakistan have made all this pointless.

The pro Bush and pro war BBC is finally convinced that the claims about Iranian nukes is all BS:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/7125701.stm

``
Iran appears "less determined" to develop nuclear weapons than previously thought, US intelligence officials say. Tehran halted its nuclear weapons program in 2003 but is continuing to enrich uranium, a National Intelligence Estimate assessment has concluded.``

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/7126117.stm

Iran report frustrates US hawks

The unclassified version of a new National Intelligence Estimate, or NIE, released on Monday, said that Iran was "less determined to develop nuclear weapons than we have been judging since 2005".

Hey Bush -- where's your proof ???

Without spending an hour reading the whole post, I would like to add my 2-cents worth and say...
"I hope there is NOT going to be another war!"
Didn't I just hear on the news that Ahmadineshad stopped pursuing building the A-Bomb already four years ago?? So, no reason to attack Iran!!

As for Musharraf...he is a western ally, and has been able to keep his A-Bombs safe. Although he is stepping down as the military leader, he will make darn sure, no lunatics will get their hands on those bombs.

If Bush and Israel with their constant threats would only stop making everybody nervous it could be calm and peaceful over Christmas and into the new year. Bush could improve his record if he would just go home and mind his domestic business!! Let Angie Merkel meanwhile keep an eye on the situation... she has that winning smile and the velvet gloves! It's time a woman steps up and takes control.
What ever became of Nancy Polusi? She showed such diplomatic gusto at first. And the Lady from France, Mrs. Cecilia, a real madman tamer (Gadafi), could join in as well.
The world has plenty capable women, if only they would unite and send the big boys fishing!!

;-)

Hot off the press...sizzle...:angryfire:
Iran sent our Ambassador home and nobody knows why?
Could be this:
Mundy's credentials had yet to be formally accepted, while Canada has rejected several Iranian ambassadors.
"Unfortunately, we have as yet been unable to accept the candidates Tehran has submitted," said Bernier.
Why are we so stiff? There's got to be an American connection!!! Look here:
According to CTV's Robert Fife, the previous two candidates proposed by Iran were believed to be student radicals in the 1970s, who may have been linked to the U.S. embassy hostage-taking in 1980.
Well, as long as they only yank each other's hair!!!

Somehow, I missed Mikey's post about the errant cabbie.

Here's my reply: the law is the law and, if your report is correct, the driver is compelled to respect that the legal standards of the jurisdiction he is in.

--- Lieberman-Kyl’s Iran amendment passes ---

Now that it has been conclusively proven that all talk of Iranian pursuit of WMD is completely bogus, CONGRESS MUST RESCIND ITS APPROVAL OF LIEBERMAN-KYL.

Need I remind you that Bush said (just as Hitler did many years before) ''you're either with us or against us'' ???

I remember where I was when Bush said that. I shuddered, I really did. I am not nor have I ever been a fan of GW Bush. I really thought GHW Bush was an able, competent president.

What is your point here. Was I wrong about the election? It was not a presidential election. That will have to wait until 2008 and you can be sure that Bush will not end up the Commander-in-Cheif. For all your complaining about Bush he will remain in office for his full term, voted into office, not by me and my countymen by by yours.

Now we have the latest on the White House position. As of this morning the the Iranian threat has been downgraded and the spin is that the latest (as of last August) is that the nuclear weapons program is deactivated and now while they continue to enrich uranium the signals are it is all being diverted to peaceful means BUT the emphasis was still Iran is dangerous and continues to be the source of worry as long as they have a nuclear program. SOOO... what is the truth???

There will be no war with Iran. Bush does not have the support, the republicans don't control the purse strings and the democrats will not declare war. China and Russia will not allow it and there are not enough of the coailition of the willing to screw in a lightbulb. The US forces have more than enough to do trying to extricate themselves from Iraq and cannot hope for any better treatment upon "liberating" Iran from the Ayatolas. There is a very established base of unhappy Iranians that in time will likely push the regime to a more liberal stance.

Here I am, right again. And yet another reason no war with Iran. Iran stopped it's weapons program years ago. Why do you all insist on so much worrying?

Just wait til Bush et al. hear about the new ultra-high tech stealth boomerang that the Aussies are working on.....

Weapons technology is out of control..... Thanks Carlyle and Bush and Rumsfeld and America in general.....

What do you call three hundred Americans scratching their heads evey time their government tells them about a new "threat" from someone the Likud party doesn't like....

Puppets with dandruff.
