Here's where you ruined this thread with your trolling...

And I got a greeny! I get lots of reds.

Hope my internet reputation is not sullied by these.
Talk about abuse of the rep system!

Brampton... Damn, I remember that town - and the ride in a flower box to Montreal (courtesy of CN express and the natural brattiness of the five-year-old I was) Trust me.... There was a tearful reunion when Dad got there to pick us up

That's cool.

It's funny how you quoted a troll when you said that though.

Anyways, I lived in Brampton for a bit, neat place.

Mount trashmore was always a hoot in the winter.
Brampton was cool during the 70's, lost it's appeal in the 80's.

Mount trashmore? Are you referring to Chingcousy Park?

Actually it's sad. It's sad that you do so much trolling, while you cry about trolling, lol.

Actually, it's funny. I lied, lol.
That doesn't surprise me,internet stalkers do that all the time.

Ya,they now have you in their system as an idiot.(TBI)

Have you ever had anyone charged under the criminal code with all your fake complaints? Just curious.

Or is your goal just to try ruin someones life?
Just curious once again.

You cant ruin mine but I'm very sure you could ruin a few others and it is sad that this is what some folks do and thats why I fight assholes like you.

Try me.see what happens.

I meant to say early 70's in my other post. I was there for a bit in 75. I was 5, so my memory of the place is only about 4 feet tall. lol.

You bet, I remember it when it still had a burn stack on it.

In the bush near Sudbury
Flower box?
They used to ship seeds and flowers from Georgetown via Brampton on CN Express boxcars - where Dad worked - in great big kid-sized boxes. The roller ride was fun. Better than a day as rail freight? Not so much. Ice cream and goodies in that strange place where they spoke another language wasn't so bad ... but Dad was pee'd when the Rapido got to Montreal.

The last time I was in Brampton, there was still coal sitting under the coal dump just off Queen.
Holy sh&t, the coal dump, ask my mother about that. I lived in old town Brampton on Nelson St, it was one of my stompin grounds.

It was a cool place to be a kid, lots of memories. Do we know each other???

I was 5 in 75, I remember the Onion Family and the two brothers, last name Clarke.

That's about it.

You know the old CP yard with the road to rail ramp? We lived just across Queen from there. I still remember putting pennies on the track at the CP/CN crossing.

Been a while.... Tracks are gone, there's a parking lot where the express sheds used to be and a ritzy condo where the coal sheds were - north of the track.
No doubt.

I wonder if the old CCM factory is still there. That place seemed so awesome when I was little.

I was building roads in the rocky mountains when you were pooping in your diapers then.

Too funny! That explains a lot of your posts.

Kids!
I started working in the bush running a triple 6 clark skidder in 78.
Quit school to do it.
My very first real job and I got 6 bucks an hour or pennies a tree for every tree I skidded into the landing.
If i skidded in 2 truckloads it got me about $60.
Im trying to add some info to this forum even though im getting trolled.

Worked for that in Texas.. received a letter of achievement for going out of my way for the customer..

Maybe a different mindset that I take pride in my job and try to do the best I can, as well as go out of the way for the customer..

Guess that is why when I quit a job, I can go back and get hired immediately..

It's called work ethics..

I think Canada needs to do like Germany and send all youth to the military for 6 months. I bet you they would have better work ethics and maybe be able to land a better job.. just say'in.
Military service to ensure better drive thru service at McDonalds? Pretty expensive training for fast food.

Clarke doesn't ring a bell.
Did you go to Central Public? Ya, pennys on the track were an every day event, we use to hide in the concaves of the bridge that went over Queen as the trains went by, WOW that was wild.
Do you remember the barber just below the rail bridge on queen? First hair cut.

No, I turned 5 that summer and moved to Quebec before I started school.

The Clarke brothers were older than me, and they used to take me on all sort of adventures around there.

Doesn't come to mind.
