Rudy or McCaine will beat either Hillary or Obama. That is my prediction. I cannot wait until Bush is out of office myself. Not that I don't like the guy but he is far too polarizing. Rudy and John are not, Hillary surely is and Obama just won't win.

Not to sure about that, they are part of the stay the course crowd.

Knowing America the way I do though, I suspect a con will win the White House in 08.

Unless.......you know who decides to run......which is highly unlikely.

I like Fred Thompson, former Senator from Tennessee (the real reason Gore didn't win his
home state) and who is currently the DA on LAW AND ORDER show.

Interesting fellow.

But...

I wouldn't mind if Obama won. Nor if Guliani won. Nor if Gingrich won. Or McCain.

I think we got a deep bench of candidates on both sides. First time in a long time I'm
deciding between many candidates I actually like.

So what happens when the GOP takes the House back? Does that mean they will have opened their eyes and realize that the Dem Party are a bunch of misfit, wealthy, liberal do gooders that do nothing for the average working man except raise taxes? Eventually it WILL happen. These things go in cycles. All it takes is a matter of time for the Dems to act the same way. The GOP DID deserve to get swept from the House but if you recall the Dems lost the House during the Clinton years because the people were fed up.

If the Democrats are misfit, wealthy, liberal do gooders that do nothing for the average guy, where would the Republicas fit in? My guess is deceitful, lying, corporate lackey's who have had their party highjacked by the whacko christian right.

Are you a richer man since Bush came to power?

I think not

Well that would just be a bonus, watching the far Left froth at the mouth for the past 6 years has been, to say the least, entertaining.

I actually agree with some of those descriptions of the GOP. They are no freind of the common man but they don't try to take his money every chance to give to failing social programs. I hate big oil and can't wait for the day to have an alternative fuel source. Deceitful and lying could also be descibed as a Dem trait as well.

I am but not because of Bush.

Yeah, deceit and lying are common to politicians of all political stripe I guess.

Saint AL will win in 08. Gore is being positioned by big capital, the nomination for the nobel prize the flick, the phonex rising from the stinging defeat of 2000. Capital AL groomed for victory, a slam dunk
designed not to save the planet but to save capitalism. He'll avoid the burning lights and only enter the race at the last moment long after the others have pissed in thier own water. The love affair with God is waneing, the planet has spoken.

Stay the course... that is not the way McCaine is. He has always been a maverick and at times has been left of center. Giulliani is not considered part of the Washington crowd.

It also depends on which course you mean. Iraq? The Dems are finding it hard to pull out. Their mouths wrote a check that their wallets can't cash. In other words they said things to get them elected and now can't follow through.

I wouldn't bet your house on it. Although Al is popular with the Hollywood and Green crowd he is looked upon as another rich man telling others how we should live and not affecting his life style one bit. His relationship with the Hollywood and earthy crunchy types will turn everyone off.

He won't even get the nomination. He had his shot, now it is Hillary's and Obama's... and they will lose.

McCaine and Rudy are behind the current paln in Iraq 100%, can't get anymore stay the course than that.

All politicians say things to get themselves elected....welcome to the real world.

The nomination is easily purchased, Clinton and Obama are already history. You're missing the big picture, Al's got product recognition of the solidest kind, once we're convinced of his earthy wholesome connection with the soil and flowers he'll exemplify the green on green and we'll all be hugged by mother nature and father capital and live happily ever after in free market heaven. I'll put a hundred bucks on me word. The hollywood crowd has educated and steered the mob from day one, how can you so lightly dismiss bambi.

But Stay the Course was a broad 80's Reagan Era term that was not aimed at one specific issue. People will choose the next President not solely on Iraq. Americans are mad about Bush and Iraq.

However, we can agree to disagree... but the next President will be another Republican IMO.

Is this meant to be humorous? Are you really serious?

Now let's see.... TIME never does anything original .... where did they get ... oh ya.... and this one was probably real - not photoshopped.

Time has hit bottom and is now scraping around trying to influence the upcoming partisan election...they lost that audience years ago.

Hate to break into this conversation but Bore hasn't even announced - has no campaign setting to speak of and can't raise enough money for a senate seat anywhere...IOW - he's not a candidate!

Gore's constituants are greenbacks, he dosn't have to declare for months. Why would anybody soil themselves unnecessarily squabling with the likes of Guliany or McCain or Obama or any of the other loosers, avoiding that circus is good strategy let them tear each other to shreads. If Al Gore wants the Oval Orifice it's his. Experience, money, exposure, recognition, credentials and a planet saving mission, the rest have retarded positions on abortion and gay marriage and nothing else. If I were trying to save international support for a hopeless cause he's exactly who I would buy or bully into the office. When does california run thier primary, I saw Swarthenberger signing the papers for the new date but didn't catch it?

You act as if you know this is going on. He won't be squabbling with GOP candidates. He will be going against Hillary and Obama. The Dem Party doesn't even want him in. I hope he runs as an Independant so he can totally sink the Dem hopefuls. That will be sooooo awesome.

The guy isn't even running and he won't.

EagleSmack you're a nice guy so I got to ask you what is the difference between a rich lying Republican and a rich lying Democrat? And how can you possibly select between two partys who have no decernable difference? What do you people smoke that makes you think Prick A is better than Prick B? I've been watching your political sceen for about twenty-five years and I cannot see the policy divisions between the two. The fat rich corporate slug sucking slime slurping
thieving dirt-buckets win every election, no contest.
