Maybe we've just identified a major problem in the justice system. When the powers that be decide if you sell lethal drugs to an addict and that addict dies as a result of taking them, the vender has consequently committed murder and is charged with it, it might be a small step in the right direction to wipe this sh*t out. It doesn't take a huge I.Q. to recognize that when you sell a person fentenol among other sh*t, that the person could die as a result. Time to start calling a spade a spade and start dealing with it. These c*cks**kers don't belong on the planet!

Are Pharmaceutical Companies to Blame for the Opioid Epidemic?

Opioid epidemic: Senate committee opens probe of five big painkiller makers

The investigation will explore whether pharmaceutical manufacturers — at the head of the opioids pipeline — have contributed to opioid over-utilization and over-prescription as overdose deaths in the last 15 years have approached nearly 200,000," said a press release announcing the probe.

The statement notes that in 2015 alone, more than 30,000 people died from overdoses of either prescription opioids or of heroin.

And since 1999, the release says, sales of prescription opioids have increased four-fold.

US Troops are Protecting Opium in Afghanistan. This video provides video and pictures of US troops protecting Opium field

In a new report, Addiction, Crime and Insurgency: The Transnational Threat of Afghan Opium, UNODC shows the devastating consequences that the 900 tons of opium and 375 tons of heroin that are trafficked from Afghanistan every year have on the health and security of countries along the Balkan and Eurasian drug routes, of countries in Europe, of China, India and the Russian Federation.

It documents how the world's deadliest drug has created a market worth $65 billion, catering to 15 million addicts, causing up to 100,000 deaths per year, spreading HIV at an unprecedented rate and, not least, funding criminal groups, insurgents and terrorists.

Meanwhile, I was charged and convicted with NO drugs at all...I got lucky afterwards and nailed the chief ( lost his sorryassed job) and staff Sargent...The guilty deausch who called the cops, stole enough money from the company we worked for to by 3 Tim Hortons in London Ontario...just as I was figuring out who he was.

It was like he claimed I was messing with Russians...when it was him...

Man, you stick a needle in your arm with anything in it and all bets are off. You should automatically assume that any substance (save a legal dose of Insulin) that you obtain is potentially fatal. Sticking needles into your body and injecting an unknown substance into your blood stream is terminally stupid behavior, not murder.

It wouldn't ever get to court as any type of murder charge since it is not murder. And I would be careful about calling people dimwits. You know the saying about living in glass houses.
Oh, I never said that! It will certainly get to court, probably in Floriduh. Matter of fat, it's headed there now.

I think when it comes to "mental wattage", Bones, I can compete with you any day. :) :)

That is certainly true. And your local junior-league hockey team can compete with Penguins. They'll get slaughtered, but they'll compete.

Give up that argument JLM
In this case you're wrong, and too obstinate to admit it or walk away from argument!

JLM isn't wrong. Being a socialist, he doesn't believe in personal responsibility and promotes the idea that one of the main goals of government is to protect us from ourselves.

I happen to disagree with his world view but it's just opinion.

And, being a garden-variety retard, he thinks that locking up low-level drug dealers will have some effect on the drug problem, despite half a century of evidence that it doesn't. And of course he'd never dream of locking up the companies that produce the drugs, or the legislators and regulators that license the production.

Well, when your mind is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail.

I guess that's one way of looking at it. I'm just on the side of the under dog after years of being a witness to the grief and misery through their eyes.

Why don't you just put a f**king lid on it? Your opinion about anything is null and void!

Certainly the smarter of the two. Not like I have any choice. 'Twasn't me, Your Worship, 'twas the hormones!

You know how to make a hormone?

Don't pay her.
Well it's changed a bit after 60 years. Used to be "do you know the difference between a chromosome and a hormone"? You can't hear a chromosome! :)

I'm not proud of being smarter than you, any more than I'm proud of being taller than you, if indeed I am taller than you. I just am.

I know lots of people that aren't as smart as me. Many of them are real good folk that I respect and like and admire.

The truth is embarrassing, I know.

Look on the bright side. Now that your socialist ideals have been laid bare, you're free to embrace them. Like most homosexuals will tell you, coming out is tremendously liberating.

Who gave you the impression you are smart? You've never proved it to me!
