I need photo ID to vote

I need photo ID when I go to the hospital
I need photo ID to drive my car
Hell I needed Two photo ID to get a new bank debit card yesterday because mine started to work very erratically

So what's the big deal with Americans needing photo ID to vote huh?

Trump wasn't wrong.....

The Democrats lose one more tool to commit voter fraud... that's a big deal.

Most of the people who frequent casinos aren't addicted! I go with a set amount of money to spend and when it's gone, so am I. I think they figure between 6 and 10% of patrons are addicted.

I support Trump (just in spirit, I can't vote) and I have teeth.

According to the Wellesley Institute:
‘The OLG [Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation] reports that it contributes $1.7 to $2.0 billion in net profit to the provincial government each year.’ ‘A 2006 study estimated that between 30 and 40 percent of gambling revenues in Ontario are derived from problem gamblers, while a study based on 2003 gambling rates found that problem gamblers [...] generated 36 percent of gambling revenues.’

According to the University of Illinois news website referencing gambling in the United States:
‘The social costs of gambling, such as increased crime, lost work time, bankruptcies and financial hardships faced by the families of gambling addicts, have reached epidemic proportions, costing the economy as much as $54 billion annually, Earl L. Grinols, an Illinois economist, has written in “Gambling in America: Costs and Benefits,” published [...] by Cambridge University Press.’

According to New York daily News:
‘Timothy Fong, professor of psychiatry at the University of California—Los Angeles and co-director of the school's gambling addiction program, says about a quarter of gambling addicts will commit a crime to satisfy their cravings, including embezzlement, insurance fraud or identity theft. Some, he says, even turn to prostitution. "Gambling for normal people is about entertainment, but for gambling addicts, it's about survival," according to Fong. "These people aren't at the casino to have fun. They're there to win big—and they won't let a loss stop them from gambling."’

That's why in more responsible jurisdictions like in Singapore and most if not all European states, you won't get into a casino without scanning both your ID and your fingerprint. If you're on a self-exclusion list, you ain't getting in. Not so in North America.

Whatever happened to Trump's voter fraud investigation commission anyhow?
‘The most bizarre thing I’ve ever been a part of’: Trump panel found no widespread voter fraud, ex-member says

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...-fraud-ex-member-says/?utm_term=.bf831b525930

"SNIP......

Before it was disbanded by Trump in January, the panel had never presented any findings or evidence of widespread voter fraud. But the White House claimed at the time that it had shut down the commission despite “substantial evidence of voter fraud” due to the mounting legal challenges it faced from states. Kobach, too, spoke around that time about how “some people on the left were getting uncomfortable about how much we were finding out.”

Dunlap said that the commission’s documents that were turned over to him underscore the hollowness of those claims: “they do not contain evidence of widespread voter fraud,” he said in his report, adding that some of the documentation seemed to indicate that the commission was predicting it would find evidence of fraud, evincing “a troubling bias.”

[Kris Kobach couldn’t prove widespread voter fraud. Can he prove to voters that he can ‘Make Kansas Great Again’?]

In particular, Dunlap pointed to an outline for a report the commission was working on that circulated in November 2017. The outline included sections for “Improper voter registration practices,” and “Instances of fraudulent or improper voting,” though the sections themselves were blank as they awaited evidence, speaking to what Dunlap said indicated a push for preordained conclusions.

LIE-berals have taken the low moral road in this matter of gambling!

Gambling is a fact of social life- some people always will and some never will!

LIE-berals have simply chosen to legitimize a criminal business and get a chunk of the cash running through that business!

However- as my previous post notes: LIE-BERALS HAVE DONE NOTHING to prevent a horde of organized criminals from laundering millions of dollars in our casinos! And that issue should be put directly ON LIE-BERALS!

Those CBC reporters I spoke of loan sharks operating publicly on casino floors- while security cameras were turned the other way!

LIE-berals are distressed by our soaring house prices and they KNOW that a chunk of that money is coming from foreign investors- meaning EVEN MORE MONEY LAUNDERING- that LIE-berals are ignoring!

But LIE-berals are more focussed on the gravy from their land transfer tax than on criminals breaking our laws!

And Canada Revenue Agency has been documented as IGNORING foriegn born tax cheats operating partly in Canada due to the cost and complexity of such a case with its need for extensive investigation outside Canada! CRA would rather HARASS Cdns and collect pennies from us than bother chasing the big foreign fish that should be paying major cash!

CBC documentaries going back to the 1970`s detail the growing influence of organized crime in our real estate business! So there is another threat from organized crime that LIE-berals are happily IGNORING!

In related news- LIE-berals are utterly bewildered as to why Yankees think we are a threat?

LIE-beral tax investigators are accused of being asleep at the switch while certain Cdn companies working hand in glove with hostile Communist China import aluminum and other metals direct from China- switch the labels and ship it to United States as being Cdn product!

LIE-beral hostility to Yankees is so great they are prepared to sell us out to China just so long as it hurts Yankees!

Recently Trump spoke harshly to German leaders over their RASH decision to sign a multi billion dollar natural gas deal with Russia!

This would be the same Russia that is supporting the Syrian Assad regime that douses its own citizens in Sarin nerve gas supplied by Russians!

This would be the same Russia that has annexed parts of Ukraine as if Putin were a latter day Adolf Hitler!!

This would be the same Russia that interfered with the Yankee elections- and has offered no apologies nor any excuses for what many regard as almost an act of war!

This is the same Russia that is widely expected to try to interfere with our up coming Cdn federal election!

This is the same Russia that is trying to re-assemble it former Soviet Empire at the expense of ALL its neighbours!!!!

This is the same Russia that gets vast sums of money from the sale of its oil and natural gas- and putting Cdn oil and gas onto world markets would HAMPER the military dreams of people like Putin- by giving buyers a chance to buy CDN product that is NOT laced with Imperial Russian dreams!

This is the same Russia that is enabling North Korea to produce its nuclear weapons! Russian ships routinely offload cargo onto North Korean ships in op[en ocean to get around the United Nations trade sanctions!

So Trump HAS A GOOD QUESTION when he asks Merkle: "why in hell would you sign a deal with Putin"?

And we are entitled to ask: "why in hell Our idiot Boy Justin insists that we buy much of our oil from socialist basket case Venezuela were govt corruption is so bad there are food riots- with people fighting the army that HAS STOLEN the food"?

WE also know that Cdn oil is produced under some of the tightest environmental rules in the world so why in hell should LIE-berals insist that people continue to buy oil from foreign slobs and military dictators when they could be buying CANADIAN????

10% of citizens lack voter ID.

Most of those are minorities or impoverished.

Requiring them to provide same amounts to voter suppression.

The people who want to suppress the vote are Trump supporters.

Total horse crap! Anyone who wants to can get ID regardless of their economic situation. To say otherwise is simply BS and in and of itself racist!

So stop with the BS because it only makes you look absolutely stupid!

So inform us, Oh Great One! Should a person need to present ID before being allowed to vote? What is your opinion on the matter and why?

The last time, or maybe the time before that, this came up, I wrote a long post explaining the situation and its implications. You either didn't read it, or didn't learn from it. So why should I bother doing it again?

More important is how many in the next 4 years that follow, the rate of decline is 'faster' or 'slower' and those are the only 2 speeds available for the US.

We require photo ID to vote in Canuckistan.

Which part of Canuckistan? I know (at least until very recently) a hydro bill or a rent receipt was all the proof you need in B.C. Possibly may have just been for Federal OR provincial but NOT both!

Should we catalog your posts on Rolodex for future reference ,?
