This document, titled “Justification for U.S. Military Intervention in Cuba” was provided by the JCS to Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara on March 13, 1962, as the key component of Northwoods. Written in response to a request from the Chief of the Cuba Project, Col. Edward Lansdale, the Top Secret memorandum describes U.S. plans to covertly engineer various pretexts that would justify a U.S. invasion of Cuba. These proposals - part of a secret anti-Castro program known as Operation Mongoose - included staging the assassinations of Cubans living in the United States, developing a fake “Communist Cuban terror campaign in the Miami area, in other Florida cities and even in Washington,” including “sink[ing] a boatload of Cuban refugees (real or simulated),” faking a Cuban airforce attack on a civilian jetliner, and concocting a “Remember the Maine” incident by blowing up a U.S. ship in Cuban waters and then blaming the incident on Cuban sabotage. Bamford himself writes that Operation Northwoods “may be the most corrupt plan ever created by the U.S. government.”

It was 7.30 on a hot July morning when the plane came swooping low over the remote ravine. Below, a bridal party was making its way to the groom's village in an area called Kamala, in the eastern province of Nangarhar, to prepare for the celebrations later that day.
The first bomb hit a large group of children who had run on ahead of the main procession. It killed most of them instantly.
A few minutes later, the plane returned and dropped another bomb, right in the centre of the group. This time the victims were almost all women. Somehow the bride and two girls survived but as they scrambled down the hillside, desperately trying to get away from the plane, a third bomb caught them. Hajj Khan was one of four elderly men escorting the bride's party that day.
"We were walking, I was holding my grandson's hand, then there was a loud noise and everything went white. When I opened my eyes, everybody was screaming. I was lying metres from where I had been, I was still holding my grandson's hand but the rest of him was gone. I looked around and saw pieces of bodies everywhere. I couldn't make out which part was which."

Environmental organisation Sea Shepherd claims to have located the Japanese whaling fleet operating within the Australian Antarctic Economic Exclusion Zone.
The Australian government has declared the vast stretch of the Antarctic Ocean a whale sanctuary, but Tokyo has refused to concur. The Japanese fleet went to sea on Nov 17 for its annual hunt, setting a target of 850 minke whales and 50 fin whales under its "research whaling" programme.
Aboard the MV Steve Irwin, Captain Paul Watson declared that the latest round of the "whale wars" had begun.
"We've got them on the run," he said. "They are not in the Ross Sea where they said they would be. They are in Australian waters.
"The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society is officially calling on Australian Environment Minister Peter Garrett and Foreign Minister Stephen Smith to order the Japanese fleet to comply with the orders of the Australian Federal Court and to cease and desist from killing to whales in Australian waters," he said. The Steve Irwin intercepted the harpoon vessel Yushin Maru No. 2 inside Australian waters in dense fog and dangerous ice conditions, according to Sea Shepherd.
A fast boat was launched to close with the whaling vessel with the intention of hurling projectiles containing rotten butter onto the deck. It was called back, however, when blizzard conditions developed.
The Japanese whaler then headed north in an apparent effort to lure the Steve Irwin away from the catcher vessels in the fleet, a manoeuvre that did not work, according to Sea Shepherd.
"They have ceased whaling operations and they are now running from the Sea Shepherd crew," it said in a statement.
In Tokyo, officials in the Far Seas Fisheries Division of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries could not be contacted, while calls to the Japan Whaling Association were not returned.

But when Israel does it we have vacuous calls for a truce, an end to the violence while ‘understanding Israel’s position’, and, in terms of soon-to-be President ‘Change’ Obama, silence. It’s all a fraction of what others would face because Israel is a wholly-owned asset of the Rothschilds and so is not subject to the same rules as anyone else. As former Israeli Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon, said:
'Israel may have the right to put others on trial, but certainly no one has the right to put the Jewish people and the State of Israel on trial.'
