There are two types of death.
1. Physical
2. Spiritual
Physical death, ends the trial of life.
Spiritual death, is life without God.

One can be alive physically, but spiritually dead.
Spiritually dead: meaning lacking of the spirit of God.
Or:
One can be alive spiritually, and dead to the flesh: meaning that the flesh has no hold over us.
Of which are you?

Human nature is such that unless the Spirit of God gives us understanding, we are at the pearl of our own flesh.

Religion is mankind trying to reach God by way of the flesh. You are familiar with the temple in Jerusalem? If you’ve read the history of the Jews, you know that without their temple they have no place of worship?

ohmigod aj, will you put that bible down and read the question that has been asked you a million times!!! and answer the question that sanctus first proposed..now, let me try again...remember drop the bible and read this question...you say the holy spirit gives you the bible meaning..sanctus asked....how can this be accurate when the denominations are so different and each one claims to be lead by the holy spirit.he said that this is what is wrong with protestants because they each come to their own conclusions about the same bible and sometimes these are like totally different..what is so hard about this question? i mean, all the churches cant be right if they disagree..for me...youre making me actually see sanctus point about some form of arbitrator for the bible like the catholic church so that each guy dosent come up with his own meanings.

I do read and have read and study the bible as often as I can.

In order for us to experience good and evil, we must first be placed in an arena where evil is present (did not say that we are evil, but that the potential is there) in the form of the flesh, and that the light of good introduced so we would rather chose the good over evil.

Giving: us a choice.

Adam blames Eve, and Eve blames the serpent, the devil. And many blame God.

Is God jealous? Of course! He wants us to choose the good over the evil.

The question had to do with why is my using of so many verses in the bible, and why so many interpetations of them.

No AJ, that was never the question. My point was how dangerous it is to come to self-interpretations of the Scriptures without the guidance of the Church. Specifically, how can so many differing denominations all be correct and claim to be lead by the Holy Spirit in the discernment of exegesis of the Scriptures. In other words, the error of sola scriptura is evidenced by the fact that there are thousands upon thousands of differing protestant interpretations of the same Bible, in fact a bastardized Bible with only 66 books instead of the 72 God provided, and yet all claim it is the Holy Spirit who leads them to their various doctrines.

I make no judgments Tam, if your conscience doesn't bother you, then don't worry. There are enough rules and regulations amoungst us that would tell us something, won't you say?

Now, I am about to give you a scripture, so don't jump out of your skin: Tit 1:15 Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.

1Jo 3:21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.

If your heart condemns you not, then by all means you have intercourse with the spirit of God!

You can go to Him with confidence and unashamed.

Not at all, in fact I ususally encourage seekers to study and discern a path. Your impressions of the Church have nothing to do with the points, you are in fact using the original point to insert your opinion on the Church.

Tam, if you had alittle knowledge about who Mary represents in the scheme of things, you'd be supprised or shocked.
Clue: wonder what it means when they say "mother earth"? Because of Eve? Mother of all living?
We,re talking flesh here.
Now, just think, a mother of all spiritual living. Guess who was born to Mary? Yes, Precious Jesus, in and by whom all find life for ever more.

Mary is the vehicle like as Eve was in borning a child. Eve, born the flesh, and Mary, born the spirit of life, Jesus.
Jesus is the Key, not Mary dear. Yes, of all women most blessed because she born a life by which all mankind might be saved.
Just think, what if you were the one chosen, you'd be the envy of the world.Well, not all the world because not all believe, but at least from all the believers.

God is beautiful if one would just let Him into our hearts. There in Him is joy unspeakable, even in the midst of our hell.
Salvation to our souls comes by hearing, and by hearing the word of God: the bible.

Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Tam, I don't randomly select verses, the ones I select are in concert with Gods will, that all mankind should be saved and that none should perish.

Now, what can you say about that wonderful loving God, who in an instant forgive all of your sins, and present you faultless:

Jud 1:24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

Just ask Him in the quietness of your heart, and He will answer.

Good example of different interpretations: to me this bit says that one only sees what one wants to see (or hear or feel ......). So if you're a good person, all you see is good because that's all you want to see. Same for the aberrant people seeing nothing but bad. This is hardly a realistic scenario as I am a good person but I sure as bears poop in the bush see bad stuff around.
