We had our own in Afghanistan. The Americans had theirs both in Afghanistan and Iraq. In all cases we don't have much to show for all that effort.
We got a lot more refugees from that. That should make the bleeding hearts happy.

That is dead on.
Also, the "legions" that currently threaten our territory directly are Russian. We share a border them that runs through the Pole and they have repeatedly stated that they do not respect any lines up there except for those that they themselves have drawn. Defend it or lose it. This will be a big news item in a year or two.
Hahaha! Don't worry about Russia. Trudeau has Putin scared to death of him! LOL! Didn't he 'tell him off to his face'? ROTFLMAO!
I will tell you that this is a direct result of our gradually standing down our Armed Forces from the mid 1960s to the present. In the process, we have handed off our own defences, one piece at a time to the Americans to save money, mostly and because of some misguided idea that we were forwarding the cause of peace. As we have given away our defences, so we given away a lot of of free choice. He who plays the Piper, gets to call the tune.
Just so you know, in case you are too young to remember, in 1960 the population of Canada was one half of what it is now and our Armed Forces were a bit more than twice the size of what remains, today. Mostly, our Forces have dropped below the numbers threshold of being able to do much of anything.
None, we smacked the sh!t outta them before they could.
Too young? That is flattering. I'm 72 and I have an extensive knowledge of military history. As for Canada's defence forces I would say that there needs to be a complete rethinking of what Canada needs. Up until now Canada's military has been modeled on what suits the needs of NATO. Perhaps it is about time to take a look at what suits the need of Canada.
Rethinking, oh yes. Which is code for gutting our forces and sending our soldiers into war zones unequipped, but then the Liberal party of Canada has a long proud history of doing that.
and yet, when Trudeau talks about pulling our guys out, people get their balls tied in a knot.
He's not talking about pulling our guys out. He's talking about pulling the F-18's, he wants more boots on the ground. Sorry, I misspoke. He wants us to put special forces in to train their fighters. Oh wait, that's boots on the ground.
That is dead on.

Zey Germans.Oh? and who would that be?
That's because we haven't gone in to smack them down. We just keep poking them with a pointy stick.Seems to me that the terrorists have gained one hell of a lot of territory despite having been "smacked down".

We have to address this conflict, like we addressed the one in the European theatre.
None, we smacked the sh!t outta them before they could.
Here it is in linear context...but, but, but, you said that we had... and here's the quote.
What invading legions did our military defend Canada against?
None, we smacked the sh!t outta them before they could.

Zey Germans.
