In the case of the hitter sliding into the first basemen, isn't it the participants who are putting themselves into harms way? Why does a hockey player have to elbow a guy in the head after he's gotten rid of the puck? Things could go wrong potentially when the two are fighting over the puck, but after it's gone?
But yeah it's funny isn't it? Janet Jackson flashes her nipple for a split second during the Super Bowl and the US loses it's collective ****.
But how many children a year are seriously injured playing team sports and how many are injured by nipples?![]()
Rome did not elbow anybody, (if that is the hit you are referring to.)
While Vancouver is getting outplayed, I would like to know why Marchand is being allowed to continue with his idiocy. All the things he's done so far and he isn't getting any penalties called? Letting crap like that go will only cause things to escalate later.
yes, I ask the same thing, there was a comment after the game, "why doesn't sedin respond", well, if he
does respond, he will get a penalty, that is why marchand is doing those things, to get under the skin,
to draw penalties.
WHY ISN'T HE GETTING PENALTIES FOR DOING WHAT HE IS DOING.
Canucks started just fine, then with a little pressure from boston the defense started playing very
poorly, and continued playing poorly, then luongo let in the first goal, poor goal, 5 hole, no way
he should have given the 5 hole up on that play, if the guy is going to score make him work for it,
way too easy.
Defense continued playing poorly, and part of the defense is Luongo, and he also played poorly.
And to top it off, the offense could not get enough pressure on thomas, he is stopping everything,
but canucks don't get any passing plays against him, just one shot, one shot, they need flurries,
hardly ever happened.
Oh well, back to Vancouver, now it is best out of 3, with home ice advantage.
Don't know if ballard will get back into the lineup, he had a rough night, but he was slewfooted
on that play behind the net, ref standing right there, saw it quite clearly, and chose to let it
go, resulted in a goal.
GO CANUCKS GO
That, right there, is part of the problem. That attitude. Even Don Cherry has abandoned that foolishness. Yes, you need to be prepared to defend your goalie and your star, but that whole 'real men' attitude needs to be left behind, with the folks who called Wendell Clark 'Wendy'.
Playing defence takes smarts, too, and your crack about a defenceman's brain shows the lack of understanding of hockey that a certain Talloola accused me of having.
HEY, didn't you read the post where I explained that I answered the wrong post? I didn't accuse you
of anything.
