That was a sight to behold, I love that line now, sedins are playing so good,
and with burrows on it, they have spread themselves out more, and burrows
fits right in with the cycling, but they don't do it so far away from the net,
and so close together.And it's good to see them scoring off the rush, like that
great winning goal, that line has more dimensions now. Good on vineault for putting burrows on that line, and
also for putting kesler on with demitra and sundin, both lines are better now.
Even that fourth line is doing the job, they don't fit the description of a third
line, but they are getting it done, so that's all that matters.
Ripien did a good job for his first game in about 70. I was sorry to see raymond
sitting on the sidelines though, as he has been playing better of late.
And Luongo was awsome.

Did anyone else hear the big announcement on team 1040 earlier this morning?
They announced that Pavel Bure is coming out of retirement and will be suiting
up with the canucks shortly.
They went into great detail, stated that Gillis (Bure's agent), had talked to him
some time ago, and that Bure has been working out in Manitoba with canucks
training/skating facility, and then, they actually had Bure on the phone, I heard
him, and it was him, and he said that he feels great has been working out some
time, and is looking forward to playing again.
Then later it was announced as an APRIL FOOLS GAG. Priceless.
No one called in said they were on to it, everyone was sucked in, people were
calling in very excited, wondering about the lines, etc etc. as was I.
One guy called in said he had just dropped his son off at school, with this
exciting information, and now he is 'dead meat' when his son gets home later.;-)

God, you had me going for a few beats. That Bure might actually come back and stiff us for a few more millions seemed for a second to be completely reasonable. A mitigating factor might be that it is currently snowing and my front lawn is white.
They said that the pro rated contract had been worked out to 5 mil a season, and
he would 1.2 or something like that for the remainder of this season.
On the phone he said that he was in good shape, had been working out, and skating
and feels really good, and is looking forward to coming to canucks, he was very good,
played right along, and it seemed very legit.
yeah, that white stuff was on our lawn this morning too, but now has almost
completely dissapeared.

That Bure was actually a disgrace to the team, while the likes of Linden and Smyl did all the work and then when he was in the clear to pick up a pass, he put on a flashy show for 10 seconds. A mercenary to a T.
Looks like Edmonton has played themselves out of playoff contention. A shame, as I would rather them get into the postseason over the Ducks.
Looks like it, mcTavish's try last night,to get a penalty for an illegal stick, backfired,
wonder where he got the info, but sometimes players play with an illegal
stick for two periods, then go to a legal one.
Rhudi said that he used to do that, he also said he used to put a broken illegal
stick at the bench, to attract attention, hoping someone would call them on
it, but he would be playing with a legal one.
That could be the case. It happens more than you might think, but it is rarely called by the opposing coach just because of what happened last night. But, I can't say that last night's game was the cause of them missing the playoffs. They stunk the past week or so, and they should have a difficult time looking at themselves in the mirror.
That team looked like it had so much potential at the beginning of the season,
and I predicted them to fight for the division championship, they have lots of
talent, but seem to lack any 'grit' at all, and that penner deal that lowe did
last year, doesn't seem to be successful at all, he has to be driven hard all the
time to stay in shape and play hard.
Do you remember that deal? Burke and Lowe ended up in a name calling fest.
Lowe sent Penner an 'offer sheet', as he was a restricted free agent, and penner accepted the offer, and burke could have matched the offer and kept penner,but he didn't. He was offered too much money, as hind sight now shows.
A young player who hadn't yet shown enough in the nhl to earn that big salary
, but I guess Lowe figured he would be better.
Yes, that was interesting, now that we look back, shows what a good eye
Bobby Clarke has, he knew something was about to happen with Kesler, and
now we have seen it. Kesler was always a digger and a force, but for so long
he was like a train wreck everytime he started a play, not so much any more,
things are happening now, he is getting good results from his huge efforts.

This will be tough game, anaheim has picked up their game recently, they are
faster now and not so bullyish.
Bobby Ryan is their young star, and playing great, watch for him.
This is a 'statement' game, they have lots of wins lately and so do we,
and the winner in this game will have the 'mental' upper hand, if we meet
sometime in playoffs.
Not sure what goalie they will play, they don't really have a number one and two
right now.
I expect canucks to continue their fine play, but this is the first game after
a long road trip, and sometimes these games can be a little flat, hope not.

Yeah, last night chicago looked much stronger than st. louis, but right now
st. louis are 1 up on detroit half way through the game.
Yeah, would love to see st. louis get in, and anaheim left out.
