Canucks outshot montreal 34 to 17, and had many good scoring chances which didn't end up in goals, halak was outstanding, and should be commended for his
goaltending.
The first goal against us was caused by wellwood, he is playing poor hockey these
days, and I would stick him back in the press box for awhile.
Burrows major penalty was unfortunate, he was defending himself, but in doing so
he stuck his stick right in the face of the opponant, so that caused another goal.
It was a five minute major because it was intentional and not an accident, or it
would have been a double minor.
If I was a montreal fan I wouldn't be very proud of their team tonight, but would
be excited by the play of their goalie, he was great.
They had a very good road trip, didn't play their best all the time, but found a
way to win 3 of 4, so that is successful.
They come home now, have a day rest then play tampa bay.
They aren't going to win all the time, the other teams want to win too, and
montreal were lucky to win tonight, and I hope they bow and scrape to their
goalie.
It's easy to say we missed many chances, but put yourself on the montreal side,
and realize how halak played, he outplayed luongo for sure, and luongo played
fine, just wasn't our hero tonight.
I remember early in the season when we played Boston, and Tim Thomas stoned
us, we couldn't score on him, same sort of game.
