If you don't understand the passion of a sports fan then their isn't much to talk about.

Ah yes, the passion of a sport's fan - much different than dedication, loyalty and committment to a team. Passion pulls us off our seats to yell in victory and moan in defeat. Loyalty keeps us coming back when the latter is the result of the moment. IMHO.

very wise and very true --

sure hope montreal can pull this one off, don't know how they let that last one get away, they
played so well.

l.a. could be gone tonight, and they have played better than san jose for the most part, but this
is playoffs, anything can happen, just look in my backyard. lol

rangers could be gone tonight, and they also could be ahead, two overtime losses.

t. bay could have been gone, but I understand they are trashing pittsburg, don't know the final, if
there is one yet.

Depends on the arena scheduals.

The Habs had a two day delay because of a RUSH concert.

Just checked...the Bulls are playing.

Concerts should be banned during hockey season. Last concert I went to (participated in) was the school Xmas concert back in grade 6.

Oops, sorry, it's next Saturday the Bulls are playing not sure what is going on tonight.

Reminds me of the 2007 Stanely Cup final when it was delayed three days because of a Dora the Explorer show at Scotia Bank place.

Pathetic.

Even ex players are saying that the Canucks "it doesn't mean much" political speak is bull****. Everyone's reputation matters to them, no matter if they are laborers, Presidents or hockey players. That's a blinding glimpse of the obvious.

guess you missed a good interview with trevor linden, very intelligent and knowledgeable from an ex
canuck point of view.

don't know where you got that 'it doesn't mean much', not from me you didn't.

l.a. beat san jose tonight to stay alive, series now 3-2

San jose was such a strong team coming down the stretch, thought they were the strongest team
in the western conference, but now that playoffs are on, i'm seeing l.a. raise their game and
look very good, things even out, and san jose has slipped a bit.

its a toss up between anaheim and nashville, maybe it will go seven.

we all know whats happening in the canuck/chicago series, so sunday is a big test for vancouver,
they need to put chicago away in game 6, no more allowing chicago to have that momentum, their
time is up.

vancouver/chicago 4:30 sunday

The brain-dead hosts on TSN kept referring to the Cannucks playing last night too - had me madly cylcling around the guide trying to find the darn game. Finally, during one of the intermissions for the Hab's game, someone mentioned that the Cannucks game was actually tonight - sheesh! All well the last time both Canadians teams played back to back it was not a memorable night for either. Hopefully, tonight will be a different matter.

ROCK THE ICE, CANNUCKS! :canada:

Now that's more like it! Cannucks had a really solid first period. They are ahead 2 - 1 at the end of the first thanks to a great goal by Burrows - smart goal that one, kids thinking! Daniel Sedin scored the Cannuck's first goal at 2:07 into the first. The Sedins are clocking lots of ice time and you can see the difference in the team efforts. Corey Schneider is in goal and had a fabulous break-away save on Patrick Kane. Smart play by Kane as he came out of the penalty box to scoop the puck - nice stop, Corey.

Games back on. GO, CANNUCKS, GO!

2 - 2 end of second period. Corey has to stay in the net more, those two Hawk's goals might have been stopped if he had been set in the net, IMHO. On the other hand, he is playing top form tonight. He was absolutely solid in the Hawk's 5 on 3 PP as were the team. Cannucks playing good defensive hockey and the Sedins and Kesler are still getting a lot of ice time. Neither team is giving up and it's a pretty exciting game so far.

GO, CANNUCKS, GO!

That game they deserved to win- they dominated overtime until the last second. Even if they win game 7 it's going to tough to go to the next round within a day or two.

yeah they sure did deserve to win. all 3 goals for chicago were gifts. two giveaways by schneider,
and the 3rd was that slighty 'overkill' check from hamhuis, don't know why he had to flip the guy
over, could have just held him up a bit, and let schneider make the save or not, then it would only
have been a penalty, not a penalty shot.

the chicago coaching staff and players know as we speak they fell into a bucket of 'slop' and came
out smelling like a rose tonight.

I feel sorry for the guys, they played great. Its kind of funny, games 4 and 5 were lost because the
skaters were 'feeble', goalie was good, this game was lost because of the goalie, and the team was
tops, schneider made some great stops, but the mistakes were rookie mistakes, and he will learn from
them for sure, but they sure cost the team tonight.

I really like the changes vineault made with the lines, hope he leaves them like that.

I wonder who will come in as back-up next game, because by the look of schneider he probably has a
groin injury, won't be 100% in two days, Eddie Lak is playing for manitoba in their playoffs, and
he has done great all year, so I guess he will be called up.

If we play same next game, without the goalie slip-ups, (luongo would not have done those giveaways),
we will win game 7. Chicago couldn't match our team tonight, we had to give them the goals, for
them to get the win, so thats the way I see it.

update: after reviewing the winning goal, it was a bad rebound by luongo,
very soft I'm afraid, but in all fairness to him, coming in cold, he looked
unready, and the 'game should have been long over by then', he should not have
had to play at all, but thats life, bad rebound.

GO CANUCKS GO

Nice to see someone else watched the same game I did. I could not believe the whining on facebook about how the officials had been bought off by bettman/nhl to ensure Vancouver did not win because of a conspiracy by the NHL to ensure that no Canadian team wins the cup.

ridiculous, the officials do make lots of mistakes, have all year, but it is because they aren't
good enough, miss some see others, same ole same ole.

Doesn't matter, it was the mistakes by players that caused the outcome.

That's pretty well the way I saw it for the 57 minutes plus O.T. that I watched. I missed the first 3 minutes of the third period, so didn't see the penalty shot or the goal by the Canucks at the start of the period or Scheider getting injured.
