your whole thought process is placed on losing, are you a
loser?, is the the cup always half empty for you, do you love
to see losing and ignore the winning and the
enjoyment of the game and the team?

do you think all teams who don't win the cup each year,
are losers?

The leafs fans come out in droves to watch a team who has
not played well in many years, but they love hockey, and
will keep coming, and their team will get better over the
next few years, and most teams who hit bottom, get lots
of good draft picks, (if they haven't traded all of them
away), then they use those good players to build another
good team.

I don't live my life as a loser, and I don't look at my
hockey team as losers, maybe in your eyes they are, but
what you think means nothing to me.

Loooooser talk.

I can tell you one thing: any team with Todd Bertuzzi on it is doomed to failure by the Karma gods. He belongs in prison.

If so we'd need about 100 more prisons, it's old hat now time to move on. I doubt if he was any worse than Marty McSorley.

Just when the Canucks are roaring, they lose two defencemen - what a frickin' shame. Don't know whether it is Luongo's bare face or a real sense of team discipline, but they are playing well. Sure hope the loss of these two players doesn't affect them too much.

Well, the final score tonight was 4 - 1 for the Canucks. The Blackhawks didn't get a goal until well into the third. I forgot about the game and only watched the last half of the third period. From what I saw the Canucks were playing with a lot of confidence.

Yep, this game kind of changes the whole perspective now, if Chicago can win three in a row no reason why the Canucks can't as they did 6 times in the regular season.

There, I feel better now, none of that ridiculous childish
beer league stuff, they had 'their' game going tonight,
and did it for 60 minutes, so the home fans can see them
play another game, and hopefully see them play 'their'
game again, like they did tonight.

Luongo played solid, didn't have to be the hero, just play
well, same as the team did, and that nice goal early in
the game took the crowd out of the game, and that place
was quiet all night.

Too bad about Salo, word is he has a lacerated testicle,
so, no sweat, he'll be back next, (just kidding), coming
from a woman, who thinks they can just stitch it up same
as a cut on the forhead, guess not aye?

Upon doing a lot of thinking about them Canuckleheads I've come to the conclusion that between them and Chicago, Canucks are actually the better team. Only time Chicago can beat them is when they are acting like idiots which they've done 3 times in the past week. When the Canucks are on their game and Luongo is sharp, Chicago can't touch them, and I think they'll probably come out of this series alright, but we'll just have to keep our fingers crossed and wait and see.

It was an exciting game, juan. From start to finish the Canucks played a pretty disciplined game. The first penalty they got should not have been called IMHO, as the Blackhawk player tripped on his own. The Hawks kept coming and the Canucks and Luongo just kept them at bay. Luongo had a great game.

Glad for all Canucks fans. What a roller coaster ride this team gives its fans.

Good grief, tallola! Don't these guys wear some sort of protection for that part of their body???
Was glad to see O'Brien come back though I had a bit of a chuckle at the announcers going on and on about all the blood! Don't they know head wounds bleed copiously? At least cleaning up the ice gave the team a real breather.

I am so glad that the team got their poop together and showed their fans that they can play a good game. Agree with JLM too, when they decide to do so they can keep the Hawks at bay. Bonus that their next game is at home and I get to hear the crowd sing Oh Canada again.

update on this testicle thing:

apparantly it is not a ruptured testicle as first reported,
seems some media person ran with that story, guess it
was the rumour that had legs, interesting and a little
different, but no truth in it, at least that is what is
being said this morning, we'll wait and see what is reported throughout the day.

Yes, another game at home, what a treat, the oh canada is
great, just hearing it and watching the fans take part with gusto.

I'm all for someone else being the captain next season,
as Luongo refused to talk to media yesterday till after
game, he needs that focus, and doesn't need to be nagged
by the media all the time, but the captain has to do that,
it is his duty to talk about the 'team' to the media.
Then when he does talk about what the team needs to do better,
he is accused of throwing his teamates under the bus, he can't
win for losing as a captain in my opinion, as a goalie, it's just not
the right fit.

I just don't know who I would want to be captain at this
point, would have been mitchell for me, but obviously that
won't happen.

Who would 'you' appoint as canuck captain.

:

The blood was spouting out of his head like a tap had been
left on, another player had to tell him to put his finger
over it to stop the rush.
He was back out on the ice, and only missed two shifts.

What a guy. The players really like him, he has a great
sense of humour, good personality, and a good interview,
very intelligent about the team, about what they need to do,
and also about the technical side of the game.

He is still very young, and at times his exhuberance runs
over the top, but he is becoming a very good defenceman
and team member.

Maybe someday in the future he will be captain.

Do you have a list of the players who are now incapable of playing due to McSorley?

Wait just a minute here. While I don't condone stupid violence from any hockey players, I found it hard to believe that the thump that Bertuzzi gave Browne on the helmut with a hockey glove on did any serious damage to Brown. If anything, it was the six guys that piled on after the incident. Gary Bettman;, bless his black little heart; made three apointments with league doctors to assess browne's injuries. Browne never showed up for any of them. Just remember that Bertuzzi was suspended for a year plus the playoffs.
Last I heard Browne was suing for thirty odd million dollars. If brown had played for another ten years or so he would likely not have made more than two or three million. It doesn't make Bertuzzi a criminal. In the previous game Moore blindsided Naslund and gave him a concussion but we forget that right?

Who is Brown? I thought Moore was the only outrageous incident?
