Obviously, it is a sport without rules or legal responsibility.
Hockey player gets Body-Slammed - Joueur de hockey obtient claqué corps - YouTube

Do you know if a hockey player has ever sued another player or another team over a fight, and if so, what the outcome was? In a kind of parallel, our courts have ruled that an NFL player can sue another player, and his team, for batteries that go so far beyond the rules of football that they don't fall within the conduct a player consents to by playing.

She is a Cannucks fan but there is hope.

There is no hope for Canucks fans.

They ought to post this gargoyle at the entrance to the Canucks arena

For Gods sake the game has become a namby sport for a few years now.
Doctors and do gooders are wrecking the sport. yes I have always liked
the fights but I also like good plays and goal tending.
We have the wimps too like the Sedins they couldn't take the pounding of
good ole Boston. I am a Montreal fan but I cheered for Boston over the
Canucks.
Hockey is a sport that needs some rule changes only because of the speed
of the game, but a fight is no big deal as the players have lots of protection.
I think spearing, and other violent acts like those hits from behind and the
jumping off the feet to hit people in the head. Those activities should discouraged
not fighting.

Used to play hockey as a youth but decided it was just a civilized gladiator sport. Haven't paid attention to it since the 60s. Have watched a few games since but it just verified my opinion of it as correct.
You've only watched a few games since the 60's? Let me update you. Jean Beliveau retired. Tim Horton started a donut shop then he died.

The game is way more violent today than it was in the old days. Want a good laugh, watch the Flyers vs Red Army game from the 70's. It was said to be all so rough. The Russians left the ice to protest. Looking at it today that game was like touch hockey. A no hitter by today's standard.
