you're so right, that is hillarious, she was yanked out of alaska by the republican party only because
hillary was in the running, otherwise, they wouldn't have given her a second glance, she had a pretty
face, loved the attention, and made a fool of herself trying to answer questions she had no clue about.

I think Palin probably did alright while she was a "big fish in a small pond", but someone (maybe McCain) should have known that it is hard jumping from being a big fish in a small pond to being a big fish in a big pond. She should try representing Alaska Federally for a term first, so she can at least find her way around Washington without getting lost (looking for moose tracks) I think the poor woman was probably shell shocked. I'd still vote for her a head of Hillary. I think she was the hilarious one, especially when she a lit from plane amidst a deluge of "shells, bombs and shrapnel". yeah, she was caught red faced on that one, but stood right up there and admitted it, and all forgave
her. She had a huge following. I have never been a hillary follower, but compared to palin, she could
be president of the world, she is a very knowledgable politician, and if the people want a woman bad
enough, she might get there, but probably too late now, depends what Obama does next time I guess.

I got too wrapped up in that last compaign, not going to do that next time, I don't care who runs, or
who gets in. I was satisfied to see bush slither out of there, like the snake he is.

The big question is if Obama does not decide to step down will Ms. Clinton dare to challenge him? If he does step aside as in the case of LBJ then the race is once again Ms. Clinton's to loose provided she decides to run. The democrats put all they had behind Obama, the Clinton name just didn't carry enough weight within the party. The way McCain fell apart near the end of the campaign, I'm not sure he would have won against anyone the democrats put up. Never saw any candidate collapse the way he did since Ross Perot.

McCain is a good guy, a sane conservative who wasn't afraid to tell off some wacko in a crowd that Obama is a good family man and not a Muslim or a terrorist. His problem was the legacy of Bush and his choice for running mate.

Even his own Daughter (a bright moderate Republican) cried when she found out his choice. She wanted Lieberman and what a brilliant choice that would have been.

Oh well...2012 should be a fun circus to watch.;-)

I fully agree with that, except McCain should have run as a Democrat, because all intents and purposes that is exactly what he is, was and always will be.

He probably never would have got more than 35% of the votes if it had not been for Palin who energized the old man style campagin of a worn out old man, whose "best before" date was sometime in the 1980's.

And that spineless Lieberman? This jerk kept sucking up to McCain hoping for some crumbs. If he had any character and any honesty he would stop blindly caucussing with the same people he stabbed in the back.

I reserve opinion about Meagan McCain, because it is the inclusive purview of liberals to attack family members (including badies with Downs Syndrome) of those who have the audacity to disagree with them, and I would not sink to their level.

it seems you just don't like her looks or style, and we all have that trait for different politicians,
or anyone for that matter. Some of the worst people in politics are the best at fooling us, as they
are professional lyers, and can do it brilliantly, she obviously got tripped up on that detail, so she isn't the best at lieing.

I feel sorry for the honest politician, but I do see that trait in Obama, but as soon as they have
the politician handle around their necks, they are screwed, no one will ever believe that they could be
honest, and maybe they can't, as maybe 'we' have ruined that ourselves, because we fall into the trap
of believing what we want to believe, put labels on others, listen to media too much, follow the leader,
and want to be connected to a winner, vote what our friends tell us to, believe all the red necks, who
spout crap in the malls around the big table at coffee time, we follow the money and hurrah groups who
make everything seem so exciting, so a quiet honest politician will be left in the dust with his honest
policies and true caring for the people.

Obama looked that way to me all thru his campaign, he has a way of capturing the human spirit, and did
it very well, he has a mix of celebrityism and regular guy, I guess that is the key.
I still believe he is honest, but then again I don't follow any of the u.s. politics any more, so am
not up to snuff on what is going on.

He also has a lot of pressure on him from many different areas, and can't just do everything he wants
to do, it will be interesting to see how he does in his second campaign, after the people have seen him as pres for four years.

Yep, I see Obama as head and shoulders above the average politician, he comes across as sincere- he has a full plate to contend with & most of the problems of the U.S. are not the president's making weren't Bush' making & he's limited in what he can do at controlling things like banking, or even medicare as far as that's concerned. People have to take responsibility for two of the main problems, health and money.
