What I said is that Canada played the war games and was a contributor to the situation. Canada and Canadians generally speaking prefer to use humanitarian methods. The present government has changed that to our collective shame, the response of Canadians prove that. As to the war on terrorism, it is like the war on Communism. The biggest fact to remember.....every action creates an EQUAL reaction. So when we bomb other societies, we should not be too surprised at the equal and resulting reaction.
Now that 70% young males, makes some sense, as all births are 107 males to 100 females world wide. 62% fleeing from Syria, Iraq etc are below the age of 24 which includes all children, including women and orphaned children. Moving up to 20 to 24 age group, many have already escaped through Lebanon, Turkey, Iraq and Egypt. Why would you think, that offered meals, a place to sleep, a chance for an education and peace, along with some security from being subscripted in to an army with the high probability of death at a young age, not sway any youngster??? Most of those fleeing have lost some or most of their friends and families, so they are not ignorant about war and life. Do you realize one family every minute flees Syria?? Even before this terrible crisis, 3.2 million were amongst those who fled to those countries I mentioned above.
Now as far as Isis goes, you might want to research their beginning. Oh boy that will really curl your hair.
Oh, and our armed forces are the greatest at planning and organization, and they should be in there helping with those sorting out the refugees. They are the greatest advertisement for Canadians we could ask for.
