Ok. What percentage of Israeli’s are Israeli’s? Pretty sure there wasn’t survey done the morning of October 7 2023 with respect to religions.
Who leads the Govt Hamas attacked? Secular Israelis or Jewish Israelis? Do Jewish Israelis support the Knesset and IDF backing settler terrorism in the illegally occupied West Bank?

You're aware those two factions were on the brink of civil war for months right up to and on Oct 7 2023?

Why?

Does it matter?
Do Jewish Israelis support the Knesset and IDF backing settler terrorism in the illegally occupied West Bank?
No idea. Do they?
You're aware those two factions were on the brink of civil war for months right up to and on Oct 7 2023?
Nope, but I have no reason to doubt you.
Why? Why would I have no reason to doubt you? Why were they on the brink of Civil War?

Yeah it does matter, they don't, was and still is an issue and it's are not were.

They aren't happy with each other. Put the propaganda down for a minute and take a listen. It'll never be a "Jewish State" if Mileikowsky has his way disempowering the religious.

An Israeli politician and prominent activist has suggested that Israel is heading to a “very deep constitutional crisis” and a possible collapse of the entire regime as a result of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s policies.

"The division in Israel is not related to the Palestinians,” Moshe Raz, a former Knesset member from the left-wing Meretz Party, told Anadolu in an interview.

"The split is between Netanyahu's supporters, who support everything he does to weaken democracy, promote corruption, and violate people's rights, and his opponents, whose lack of sufficient resistance against the (Israeli) occupation I’m not satisfied with."

“This is the main issue in Israel. This is the battle,” Raz said. “Israel has never seen demonstrations of this magnitude before.”

Mass protests erupted across Israel in recent days against the government’s decision to fire the Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar and withdraw confidence from Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara, moves widely seen as attempts to consolidate Netanyahu’s control over state institutions.

Protesters also demanded a halt to Israeli air strikes on Gaza to avoid endangering the lives of Israeli hostages

“Half of the nation rejects the protests, and the other half supports them. It is perilous. It is not healthy," Raz said.

Regime collapse

The Israeli politician, however, ruled out that Israel was heading to a civil war.

"I don't think we will witness a civil war, but a portion of the Israeli right will violently attack Palestinians and Israelis, and that is very dangerous. However, I don't see most of the right joining the attack on Israelis."

Raz suggested that Israel is heading to a constitutional crisis.

"If the Supreme Court refuses to dismiss the head of a security agency and the government attempts to dismiss him, we will enter a very deep constitutional crisis."

Israel's Supreme Court is set to review petitions challenging the government’s dismissal of the Shin Bet chief on April 8.

On Tuesday, the Knesset (Israel’s parliament) passed the 2025 state budget, in a major victory for Netanyahu’s government.

The Israeli government had to pass the budget before the end of March, or it would collapse automatically and go to early elections.

The budget passage "likely means that there will be no (early) elections in 2025,” Raz said

Surgeon fined for sharing snap of patient’s swastika penis tattoo

Published Apr 08, 2025 • Last updated 15 hours ago • 1 minute read

An orthopedic surgeon in Australia was hit with a hefty fine for taking a photo of a patient’s penis, which was tattooed with a swastika, and sharing it with others.

The doctor, who was not identified, snapped the picture while treating a man at a hospital in April 2019.

The patient required surgery after a homemade pipe bomb exploded in his hands, the New Zealand Herald reported.

Following the surgery, the patient and his swastika-inked schlong was placed in intensive care, where he was intubated and placed in a coma for one week, according to the outlet.

The surgeon somehow felt the need to take the photo at some point that week, and share it in a WhatsApp chat with other practitioners despite it having “no clinical or medical purpose.”

The Office of the Health Ombudsman was tipped off about the photo in December 2019, prompting an investigation and referral to the medical tribunal, according to the Herald.

Tribunal member Peter Murphy SC described the surgeon’s conduct as serious, noting that the patient was “unconscious and particularly vulnerable.”

Murphy added: “The trust reposed by the patient in his treating doctors can be seen to be particularly acute in those circumstances.”

The surgeons received a stern reprimand and a fine of $10,000, despite the tribunal acknowledging that the surgeon “immediately regretted” taking and sharing the photo.

Good thing this hasn't been going on for the duration of the war

Haaretz journalist Nir Hasson has been covering the war in Gaza for months. He has seen so many horrifying acts of war go unpunished and uninvestigated, that he was hardly surprised by the killing of 15 aid workers at the end of March.

The Israel Defense Forces first said the paramedics were suspicious, and claimed the vehicles they were in did not have their emergency lights on. Then a video of the incident was exposed to the world in The New York Times, showing clearly marked ambulances.

"There is no accountability when it comes to commanders and soldiers killing innocents or even medical personnel," Hasson said on the Haaretz Podcast.

In his coverage of the army's operations in Gaza and their effect on the Palestinian population, he regularly sends the IDF spokesperson questions about all kinds of incidents in Gaza. "I ask them: 'You killed a family. You bombarded a school - what happened there?' And I have received thousands of replies saying that it will be looked into in an internal investigation unit. But there are no results of any investigations. I don't know of any trial of any soldier who paid any price for killing innocents in Gaza."

Alongside these disturbing military procedures regarding civilian killings, Hasson said, a "really terrifying humanitarian disaster" is brewing.

"I sometimes find it hard to get to sleep because I'm thinking about the families and the kids in Gaza and the despair," he told podcast host Allison Kaplan Sommer in a conversation about his coverage of Gaza.

Meanwhile, in the West Bank, he says a new level of cooperation and coordination between the Israeli military and violent settlers is a "severe and frightening" development.
