Again, you simply take an example of the firearm and have a group take it apart and put it together and test it and make an informed decision on whether that firearm fits your view of what should be included.
It couldn't be any easier to do
A better way is to keep idiots and lunatics from getting guns and other things that harm people.
So dont' ban good people from owning stuff. Enforce laws keeping the idiots and lunatics from owning stuff. It isn't that tough to figure out.

This is what the public sees and are making their judgment on to pressure the Gov. to ban them, So ban them yes or no? Not hard you don't need to touch them to make a decision, so what is it yes or no?

You seem to be ignorant of what it takes to leglly get, own, and use a firearm in Canada and couple that with the ignorance that criminals don't follow laws however much you make laws banning stuff. The law hasn't even been written yet let alone put into use and refined over time.
Like "motor vehicle" the term "assault weapon" will be developed and will evolve over time.
