It's nostalgia. If any other junkie were dieing they'd be a statistic.

A pretty good show. I watched it for free on the CBC. I heard some people plaid $25K to see them in Kingston tonight. I hope they got their money's worth.

I used to see them for free in Regina when they couldn't find any other gigs because of Gord being a drunken junkie idiot.

Sounds like the man has a lot on his plate.......................his wife is battling breast cancer..........................makes most people's problems seem very small!

I never followed this band. Couldn't name one of their songs or pick any band member out of a police line up.

Adults aged 50-74 account for over half (53%) of all new cancer cases, and elderly people aged 75+ account for over a third (36%), with slightly more cases in males than females in both age groups.

Yippee, in another 18 months I'll be past the high risk time frame, on second thought I'll probably just pass into a higher risk window for Alzheimer's or brain aneurisms.

You and me both, while I have respect for Gord and his music, it's not something I'd voluntarily listen to. He certainly doesn't have the voice of Hank Snow or Johnny Cash.

no Downie was not much of a singer...
niether were niel young and geddy lea or freakin bob dillan
his strength was as a writer - a beat poet

but compared to american and british drug and alcohol fueled rainbowpukestaincrap they call music
he and the hip were a well welcomed relief

canadians don't all seem to expect perfection in their art
but honesty and craftsmanship in art goes a long way

there is no accounting for taste
that's what's fair about everyone's likes and dislikes regarding art and artists

all I need to know is
if I do boots to hearts and a few of their other songs when I play at a party
I will get all the free beer and cheesburgers I can stand

and sometimes my road apple gets bobbed
