As an example, countries like The Phillipines havrn't invaded the ME. Why have they been targeted?

The US and friends are more involved in those places than 'Muslims' so why not look at natural resources as a cause for 'unrest'? (don't forget the dirt cheap price the west likes to pay for materials)
