whole foods are the best for curing ailments.

Garlic is a cheap way of staying healthy
No partial foods? You mean I have to eat the entire celery bunch, head of cabbage, the whole moose, potato tops with the potato, etc. ?

Yes, a main gripe I have too, how can they stand there, watch all those groceries go by, be told by the cashier
what the total is, then begin the process of getting their
wallet out, finding their card, and cash while there is
a lineup behind them.
When i arrive at the cashier I give her my bags, allready
have cards out, ready to go, just like you, don't want to
look like a dolt, and keep others waiting.
If the person is elderly, I don't mind, I have great patience
for them, as I see they take a while to figure things out, that's OK
lol I find their minds are quite sharp, it's their bodies that aren't very swift. lol

lol Don'tcha just love the little old ladies that take 10 minutes to search for their little change purses to find the exact change to the penny and then take another 10 minutes counting the exact change, one coin at a time? (Meanwhile the lineup is woven all through the isles and people still shopping can hardly wiggle through the line. :D)

Yeah, they are pretty methodical alright.

Yes eat the whole food.

For years I used to eat the potato discarding the skin until I learned that most of the vitamins where in the skin.

For a while there were places that served potato skins only as a health food.

A long time ago I attended a cooking demonstration at a local fair where they were selling cookware and that was pointed out that whole foods have the complete vitamins.

In todays health world combinations of food is the best way to gain all the benefits and more reports are coming out that vitamins give you minimal values.

Vitamins does improve the quality of your urine when it is expelled from one's body

Well JLM.... Friday proves it for me. I had to have my blood pressure taken as part of my physical for new life insurance we're applying for. Once again, fine blood pressure. And, given my size, everyone always acts surprised that my blood pressure isn't through the roof. lol. So, it could be that I don't add salt to my cooking, just some sea salt garlic blend lightly over top once I'm eating. It could be that we eat roughly 6 grocery bags full of produce between 4 people per week in this house. It could be that I work out. But, the inordinately large amount of garlic we cook with must play into it too, lol.

I think you are right, blood pressure can be a nebulous thing, generally you can't tell anything about a person's blood pressure by looking at them and how you feel doesn't generally give much of a clue about blood pressure. Hey, don't get too hung up about salt when cooking - a tsp. in the boiled spuds is harmless- there's 30 times that much in a bag of potato chips, or canned soup or frozen meat pies. You need a certain amount of salt for the thyroid.
