Just found out the tiny town I was born and raised in won Gamestown 2010. It's been a very very long time since I've lived there but we go back for family reunions (and burials)

Great little town. If you have to be a stranger having bad luck during your travels, Princeton is about the best place where it could happen.

Not to diminish the accomplishments of Princeton, but, I hope people recognize how huge it is for a Northern Community like Dawson Creek to make silver. That is truly impressive. Being up North it can be very difficult to stay active.

I think it's got a lot to do with the spirit of the people, I've spent a bit of time in the north during my life & it's a whole different "ballgame"- people don't sit around as much fretting and worrying about things like they do down here. A little cold or snow or mud doesn't get them down.

Too true: When you live in a remote area you make your own amusements. Can't let a little rain stop you on the wet coast or cold and snow up north or you would never get anything done. City people have just come to expect some government agency to do a everything for them.

Yep, you've just hit a lot of society's problems today right on the head. People want gov't to do everything for them and then when gov't does something they don't approve of they whine about that. People have a hard time deriving enjoyment out of most things anymore.
