and anyone can see that.

In Hitler's times, everybody throughout the world saw it, but a great many deluded Germans succumbed to the lies. Ditto for the USA today: everybody world wide sees it, but millions of deluded Americans do not.

All it takes is for people to open their eyes and minds --- it's that simple.

hot damn... Absolutely. retract : "anyone can see that" . It is like a person with a serious problem.....( addiction for eg)..... they are usually the last to actually "see " it , let alone admit it to themselves .....or anyone else. They are so enmeshed within the p rocess itself , their objectivity is lost and ergo logic cannot prevail. Of course denial can then take over from simple disbelief. Fascinating dynamics. Maybe the question to ask is: how far is the US going to be allowed to go on this path, (which also fosters terrorism.....which they claim to be fighting ) before world intervention will take place?? Where are the checks and balances??? It is a much smaller world now , in comparison to the hitler era. The military advances alone have been phenomenal. ( the importance of having a powerful military is another parrallel--- just as then ... military conotes power )

who is "attacking " ITN. ???

More importantly..........who is degrading other posters on a personal level without addressing the topic. ???

come on now mr.mom , he /like anyone else can "defend
himself /herself . just fine. (and gives as good as he gets ...

All US opinions and thoughts are more than welcome , as it gives everyone an idea of where they are coming from these days. But they sure don't have to be pampered or protected. ------and particularly when they attack a posters intelligence as opposed to presenting a differing perspective.

OK. I'm only here to discuss issues so I generally avoid the hostilities. The Republican party is known for paying people to defend Bush so I don't bother to argue --- all I do is to post the truth and allow people to see for themselves whether it is true or not.

Well, it's time for me to go and to watch pro tennis.

I, for one, do not believe that Bush is Hitler.

I do believe that Bush is a Hitler Wannabe.

Most notable, at the moment, is the Bush Administration’s reliance on Goebbel's technique of using the big lie.

Tell a big, unsupportable lie.

When it is refuted, lie louder.

Those that you can’t overwhelm through lung-power, you intimidate.

Those you can’t intimidate, you vilify.

(Don’t worry about believability. If you throw mud hard enough, some will stick. Even if it doesn’t stick, many will forget the argument, but remember the mud.)

In this way, a quadriplegic Vietnam War veteran ( Max Cleland) can have his patriotism questioned by an AWOL draft dodger.

Also, a former American 5 year POW (John McCain) can have a child legitimately adopted from Bangladesh misrepresented as his “illegitimate black child.”

So may the receiver of a several Vietnam combat medals, including the Silver Star, Bronze Star, and three Purple Hearts (John Kerry), have two of his Purple Hearts questioned by the followers of a soldier who needed special consideration to obtain an honourable discharge.

That is just one of the similarities of actions between Bush’s Administration and Hitler’s Nazi.

But Bush is not Hitler. Hitler had a genius for evil. George Bush is merely an evil lout.

There's an old saying that if you say a lie three times, most people will believe it. :) I know McCain's war record and it was shameful how the man was treated during the last election.

Bravo GL. :thumbright:

Of course bush is not hitler. (might be getting to be a facsimile of, though ) ( unless of course hitler was re-incarnated in the Bush clan.......but given their ages etc......not too likely. Hmm. hitler did not have the genius  sidekick called Rove.

Hitler had Joseph Goebbels, Bush has Karl Rove.

Karl Rove still has not got
the Nazi Salute down, yet.
