I'm nasty? Who started out with the "idiotic" thing about "milk and cookies"?

What orchestration is there in a chance OBSERVATION by a military aircraft, an attack, and an opportunity for the REBELS to lay hands on a fugitive.

For the record, and I have already said in this thread, discipline would have held me back once Ghadaffi was in custody. I may even been empathetic when it came to the begging. The former is also a recognized rule. Again: When do REBELS obey Rules?

You are the yardstick you measure others by. You sound frightening.

...just sayin' :p

I watched Gaddafi's capture and execution this morning and it was hardly
civilized. It was like a pack of wild animals in a feeding frenzy.

I had the same feeling, let's hope cooler heads prevail in the rebuilding of Libya..

Finally something truthful about you own family. LMAO

I am confused. How does one become a brutal dictator while at the same time, provide free medical, education and water for their subjects? Something does not add up here. Why did the US renew diplomatic relations in 2006 and then decide to attack? If Canada and other foreign countries (re: NATO) were running their oil program, why did they suddenly decide to attack? In any rebelion I have ever heard of, the government did everything it could to squash the rebelion, but when Gaddafi reacted to the violence with violence, he was a monster. Did not the British act in exactly the same way when Americans revolted? Were they monsters too? And if so, why do we still have friendly terms? This does not add up at all.

I also find it very disheartening to see such glee over the slaughter of another human being. It makes me wonder just who are the monsters.

Valid questions.

I'd like to add, if he gave the peasants free medical, and water, why did they feel the need to revolt?

Once captured, he should have been held for trial.

I wonder why the peasants were so blood thirsty?

Too much American MSM on Twitter?

Who recognized and funded them. The UN has records on who brought up the 'demand' for military intervention. Not that big of a mystery and very easy to solve.

I was being semi sarcastic Cliffy. I have a hard time believing this all just came to a head in the last few months. Too convenient.

But you do realize that even Hitler kept the trains running on time right?

So you're still investigating eh.

I think the reaction of Kadaffy's people today trumps any other perceptions of him. He was a bastard back in the 70s.

You can be an ally on many levels, socially, philosophically, commercially etc. (And you can still be a bastard)
I'm under no delusions, that politics and foreign policy make strange bedfellows.

But you don't go from 0 to dead in a few months flat, just because you squash your people.

If that were the case, a good many of the US's allies would be being bombed at will.
