I'm pro-Brexit, and that's being anti-imperialist.
By jingo, you may be right!

We don't want to fight but by jingo if we do,
We've got the ships, we've got the men, and got the money too!
We've fought the Bear before and while we're Britons true
The Russians shall not have Constantinople.

The misdeeds of the Turks have been "spouted" thro' all lands,
But how about the Russians, can they show spotless hands?
They slaughtered well at Khiva, in Siberia icy cold,
How many subjects done to death will never perhaps be told,
They butchered the Circassians, man, woman, yes and child,
With cruelties their Generals their murderous hours beguiled,
And poor unhappy Poland their cruel yoke must bear,
Whilst prayers for "Freedom and Revenge" go up into the air.

The Russians can keep St Petersburg. Tsar Peter the Great founded it in the early 18th Century after taking the land from the Swedes. The British, Poles and Danes were Russian allies against the Swedes.

Oh yeah. They had to be liberated by the British in 1945.

And the only thanks they gave us was Sandi Toksvig.

The Norwegians thank us for liberating their country from the Nazis by giving us a Christmas tree which is displayed in Trafalgar Square every year.

Not the Danes. They give us Sandi Toksvig.

The Danes and Norwegians were not liberated by anyone. When the ear ended, the occupying Germans just got in their lorries and drove away. There was no fighting, there in 1945. I have that on the good authority of a Norwegian sailing associate of mine who watched them drive off.

So why do the Norwegians give the British a gift in the form of a Christmas tree every year?

Maybe, you're lying.

Show us where the fighting was, where the battles were. The British Army was to the south of the Canadian Army that liberated Holland.

Scandinavia is way North of there and there were no landings in the North in 1944-45.

No. The Norwegian Christmas tree in Trafalgar Square is quite well known.
there was no fighting, there at the end of the war..

My sailimg friend was telling us that, not only did the Germans just drive away from Norway, they left warehouses full of unused weapons and ordinance behind them. The kids used to break in and do things like throw land mines off of cliffs, until one of my friend's seven year old playmates got blown to tiny bits while playing that fun game.

Perhaps, that tree is in remberance of the attempted (but unsuccessful) landings at Trondheim in 1940. I'm more inclined to think that it was because of the British support of the Norwegian underground, throughout the war.
One thing is absolutely certain. The British DID NOT liberate Norway or Denmark.

G-7 summit ends with little consensus amid Trump’s mixed messaging on the trade war
and of course a few odd bits from trump that came out:

He thinks that hurricanes should be NUKED. ( the chaps in white jackets are no where around ;-)

He is all over the map on his trade war with China.

He is promoting HIS property in Miami to be the host of the next G 7 meet up.

The same property that has not been doing all that well.
. . . after they make landfall in the US??

How do you logically tell China they cannot sell anything to anyone without giving the US some skimmed money.

Will that be during a hurricane and 'n' explosion to show it is sound science?

It has been his HQ since he became Chief, it should be in the black for the first time ever and all new upgrades so large parties are a snap.

That would be timely......yes.

Looking for logic in all the wrong places.

Will that be during a hurricane and 'n' explosion to show it is sound science?

Not science. Just "gut"

Should have......but due to poor management....and some APPROPRIATE anti Trump sentiment..

Brazil doesn't want the aid, and looks like he outright rejects all the hypocritical virtue signalling.
Brazil Will Reject G7’s $22 Million Amazon Fire Aid
Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro’s chief of staff told Globo. “We appreciate it, but maybe these resources would be put to better use reforesting Europe. [French President Emmanuel] Macron can’t even prevent a foreseeable fire in a church that is a world heritage site,” Onyx Lorenzoni said. “What does he want to teach our country? He has plenty to take care of at home and in the French colonies.” Lorenzoni also said Macron's “objective” might be “colonialism and imperialism.”

Bazinga.
Your point being that aid should not be conditioned?
