NBC News Caught Using Deceptive Edit

Is this stuff illegal??

No.

Should it be??

No.

Zimmerman should sue.

But the rest is untouchable, and the risk of legislation controlling what news broadcasters can say is MUCH more dangerous than the actual lies they tell.

But don't believe everything you see or hear. I confess, I was caught out on another site saying how ashamed I was of fellow gun rights activists heckling this unfortunate man......

Turns out they WEREN"T!!!

Any real protest in the West is instantly demonized by the media feeding the sheeple misinformation. Case in point was Idle no More. From all the talk on CC, very few even know what it is about. They think it was in support of Spence. They think there was no central theme or point to the protests. The aboriginal people were banging their heads on the brick wall of media induced bigotry.

Which, even if true, is a whole lot different than banging your head on the bars of a jail cell for a couple of years.

For many aboriginal people it is an invisible prison cell. Much more frustrating. Mockery and indifference can leave deeper scars than a whip.

I understand that this was an act by a company against an employee. If I worked for WalMart and hired a union organizer to speak at a work event, I imagine that Walmart wouldn't be too impressed. They'd probably let me go.

People always confuse freedom of speech. It doesn't mean that, if you're workgin the cash machine at McDonalds, you can tell all your customers to screw off and McDonalds can't touch you.

I'm surprsied that Steyn--self-acclaimed hero of free speech that he claims to be--doesn't know this.

Hardly.

This is not a private enterprise, a company to which an employee is expected to show some deference..........

This is the Police Dep't, the servants of the people.

And SURPRISE!!!! Their "Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Bureau" (shades of Orwell) is headed by a Muslim.

Policing speech

Which explains why speakers that promote the subjugation of women and the execution of homosexuals are perfectly OK.

The chaplain and the police have an employer/employee realtionship This isn't the case of the police arresting someone. The employer has the right to set standards of duty adn to direct the activities of its staff.

Are you saying that a cop can show up to work wearing whatever he likes and nobody can touch him because it's a public institution?

I'm saying the chaplain is not a uniformed officer.

I'm saying if Walmart fired an employee for engaging in union activities, that would be against the law.....I thought you would know that.

I'm saying that if Walmart threatened to fire an employee for engaging in perfectly legal political activity, they would have SUCH a lawsuit on their hands.

I'm saying you are absolutely wrong.
