We could push for the extradition of that homohobic preacher and his followers who encourage violence against gays and lesbians. Carrying signs that say things like "Kill fags," is pretty clearly hate speach.

Why go that far, you can have the owners of US bookstores arrested that ship banned books into Canada. I don't know if its a felony, but hey it's a start.
Jay, encouraging that people be murdered because of their sexual orientation is not free speech. It is inciting violence against others...not a lot different than carrying out the violence personally.
Yup, so let's get him extradited for inciting hate. That's far more serious than selling a few pot seeds.
No, the point is that if the US can require us to enforce their laws, then we should be able to do the same. If they can require the arrest and extradition of Marc Emery, then we should be able to indict Americans for violation of our hate laws, our gun laws, our environmental laws, or any other laws.

Why doesn't the "govt " aka organization with criminal tendancies......... simply bite the bullet, and legalize recreational drugs the way it has Alcohol . and cigarettes for that matter. Why "fight" it when "joining " it might prove to be a better approach, and heck......by taxing it , the govt 's fiscal position would improve tremendously. (more funds available for getting drug users off the streets and into shelters ........as well as more funds for better rehab programs , for those that chose them. )
seems the powers that be , miss an important psychological element in all this. The more difficult they make to obtain something..........the more a people's will want it. Human nature. A little reverse psychology might change the paradigm.

This whole thing is politically motivated anyway. This is what Karen Tandy of the DEA said,
They didn't bust Emery because he was selling seeds, they busted him for promoting the lagalisation of marijuana.

That's not exactly true though, is it? The Canadian government chose not to charge Emery, so obviously they don't feel that he has committed a criminal act (in this case) in Canada.
Canadians on Canadian soil should not be subject to US laws. We are a sovereign nation.
Guys like the preppy clown don't give a shit about peoples rights till it effects them and then they kick and scream and cry like babys but its to late
