The US pretty well committed itself to being reliant on ME blood oil for awhile.
It's major foreign supplier is Canada, though.
The thing you have to remember is the world runs on oil
Who said I forgot?
The permits were approved a long time ago,you guys think Suncor is big? You have not seen anything yet.
No, Suncor isn't that big. Out of Canadian energy companies alone, Encana is bigger. So is Shell. And Suncor doesn't even make the list of the 50 biggest energy companies in the world.

I know,I worked for Shell in 82 and was inspector for Encanna in 2006.
Suncor last year,so multiply suncor by about ten.The french are in there also, now if they cant transport their product then many millions of dollars will be wasted on the planning and enviro studies.
Flint is also big and getting bigger,I see the trend, buy up the juniors, buy up anything related to the energy industry that affects them.

I worked for them too! :)

I dont think Joe public has much of a say about what will happen in the next few years with developments except for public open houses and I'm all for that.
Just because I make my money right now in the oil patch doesn't mean I love big oil companies.

The world economy is in a shambles,we have a resource to sell that everyone needs and will keep Canada afloat during this crisis.

Energy security was a big part of the SPP.

Running a line to Churchill would be awesome, building the port to specs for major exports would create thousands of jobs. From an environmental standpoint, and political one I see nothing but good coming out of upgrading the Churchill port and starting to ship resources from western and central Canada. For those of us that have lived in the arctic,a lil tragically hip for you.
