Bummer.

I always got mad when my dad cut my allowance too but only a few years later I was doing better. My little brother was now doing half my work and I was making the same.

I actually support Ford's cuts for the most part, but alcohol in every shop is a bad idea. Promoting gambling was not a wise move either.

Saskatchewan Doctors' Strike

The Saskatchewan Medical Care Insurance Bill was introduced in the Legislature 13 Oct 1961, and received royal assent 17 Nov 1961, after Woodrow S. LLOYD had replaced Douglas as premier. It was to come into force April 1, but this was amended, later, to 1 July 1962.

Saskatchewan Doctors' Strike
In 1959, Premier T.C. DOUGLAS announced his intention to provide medical care insurance, based on pre-payment, universal coverage, quality service and government administration, and through a scheme acceptable to both doctors and patients. The election of 1960 was fought on this issue, the doctors campaigning against it. A commission, established to recommend a plan, reported in Sept 1961. Members of the Saskatchewan College of Physicians and Surgeons met with the government, stating that they could not work with a compulsory, government-controlled scheme.

Just wait till Trudeau's Commie sell out economic policy consequences kick in and Ford has to deal with that.

They pay the government big bucks. Morals have nothing to do with anything.

Kind of hard to know what you're going to be able to do when the previous govt intentionally understates the deficit by 75%.

Yes, because some new GTA-wide transit infrastructure is a bad thing. And let's see, considering Ford scrapped the carbon trade scam, that's $5 billion a year that Ontario ISN'T losing. So two years and a few months of NOT having the carbon trading scheme and the new subway line is paid for.

Doug Ford facing 'long road back' from poor poll numbers

There’s nowhere to go but up.
A poll published last month revealed Ontario Premier Doug Ford’s favourability ratings have fallen dramatically one year into his Conservative government’s mandate.
“I don’t think it can get worse,” said Quito Maggi, president and CEO of Mainstreet Research, which conducted the survey. “I can’t point to any one thing (to show) how this is going to get better for Doug Ford — certainly not anything in the short term.”
The poll asked people across Ontario if they have a favourable or unfavourable opinion of all the provincial party leaders. Ford had a net -53.5% rating (73.4% unfavourable to 19.9% favourable), lower than Kathleen Wynne’s numbers when her Liberal government was turfed last year, according to Mainstreet.
“Does it mean he’s doomed to lose the next election? No. These numbers are very bad, but also not unrecoverable in a longer term.”
Ford announced a major cabinet shuffle last week looking to hit the reset button on his government, but Maggi pointed out the shakeup will have little effect.
“Simply shuffling the cabinet isn’t going to give him a 10-point boost in approvals.”
Maggi noting funding cuts announced in April’s budget came as a complete surprise to voters.
People have certainly been vocal about their dislike of the premier recently.
During the Raptors’ NBA championship celebration at Toronto City Hall last week, Ford walked onstage and received a round of boos from sports fans.
“I think it’s going to be a long road back for Doug Ford,” Maggi said.
