Re: Ford CEO: Main reason for canceling Mexico plant was market demand, not Trump

Correct me if I am wrong but robots build better products than a line of 50 people can??
Why would we move 'back in time'? Get the 50 people to build the robots and the production line can be a long list of products from cars to dinner plates that never break at the flip of 10 switches.

Production lines are specifically tailored to the product being made. Even car assembly lines are specifically configured for the particular model of car.

Why would we move 'back in time'? Get the 50 people to build the robots and the production line can be a long list of products from cars to dinner plates that never break at the flip of 10 switches. Those 50 people and their 500 relatives, over 10 generations, get to sit around and enjoy the 'comforts of life' without the 'endless toil' to get just a bit of that. The jobs that 'people' would have would be related to 'what people do with 'leisure time'. Starting at home it would be safe affordable living where the living room goes back to being the 'entertainment center' where people create their own entertainment. Via a web database that has many attractive features. Google street view from China where you get sound to go with the 'pictures'. With the living room being the control center it might be that a personal cam can be on the wall when you are outside of the house, or on your bike in case somebody tries to steal it. etc. NSA movie quality but from your own living-room would give it appeal for the whole neighborhood and that commonality is a useful tool as far as social interaction goes.
One of the 'attractions' for wars is they offer that commonality to most of the population. The ones on the 'back lines' only see that aspect of working for the common good and then go an sleep in your own bed until tomorrow and then the same thing where everybody else is part of the same 'operation'. War loses all it's appeal the closer you get to the front lines.
The Circus coming to a village would set the 'mood' as far as the general atmosphere so the commonality can be any cause.
Correcting you when you're wrong would be a full-time job.

...or for those that tried.

I have yet to meet one single entrepreneur that didn't get their a$$ handed to them at least a few times.

But as we see, the entitlement crowd conveniently omits that reality or more likely, state that the risk is inherent with the activity.... They are right, however, they do take exception to the notion that with increased risk comes increased rewards. That for them is a problem.

Love the fake fact news stories. Some of these companies are playing Trump like a fiddle. Andem should declare that he now intends to keep this site's US server because of Trump. All the sheep will play it up and give CanCon a pile of free marketing.

Isn't Andem in Germany or something. Trump should do something about that. There are lots of great Americans that can run a great internet forum from the US. All they need is a little help...Maybe a few million of ES' tax money. It could be great...Yuge actually.

Avro just took a pizz on your head and you praised him. Yet you are still acting like you have some sort of cred and respect in here?

I get all of that. My point is a line with 50 robots can be supplied with a list of 1,000 different products and as long as those parts are available they can 'assemble' items from kids stuffed toys to combines used to harvest large fields growing a variety of products.

MAGA is a wonderful concept but it is designed to be a repair program, one that is playing catch-up so the beginning is going to require more activity than it will once the initial phase is completed. Coming up with the robots that can do that 'here' means it is a technology that can be exported as a digital product, backed up with chemical plants that supply the products used by 3-D printers. Chemicals in the form of plastic pellets that float when in water so a 'spill' is a non-event and requires a vacuum cleaner for the cleanup.
Being able to 'resurrect' Flint and Detroit would be the show-piece for the concept of resurrection without having to level the place. Those cities, as well as most other US cities, have 1950's standards so the possibility of repair in place over remove and replace is a saving in time and material and inconvenience. I assume all utilities would be underground and accessible for repair or replacement.

Geothermal heating should be effective in all parts of the country and retrofitting is as simple as drilling a small deep hole under the building and that is used as 90% of the heating/cooling needs, tall and having local solar panels might make the building a net exporter of power and an off-the-grid sanctuary should a disaster happen nearby.

I see you two have already met and bonded. I see a closet that still has a few cobwebs that need removing.
