James Forcillo guilty of attempted murder in streetcar shooting of Sammy Yatim

A jury has found Toronto police Const. James Forcillo guilty of attempted murder in the 2013 shooting death of Sammy Yatim, but not guilty of second-degree murder.

Forcillo faced two charges related to the shooting death of Sammy Yatim, 18, a Toronto teenage

Jurors reached the verdicts after six days of deliberations.

Forcillo, 32, had pleaded not guilty to both charges at the start of his trial which began in Toronto on Oct. 20.
Forcillo is in the court with his wife. There were few empty seats in courtroom, with police officers, lawyers and the head of the police union in attendance. Yatim's mother and his best friend are also in the courtroom.

Don't cry about it.

Just get the threads merged.

No crying, just funny how you can't read.

You probably would have posted first, if you didn't have to rack your brain trying to figure out something stupid for the title.

Anything less than life is too little.

For attempted murder? The guy was a punk with a knife. His actions probably saved somebody else's life in the future.

Judging by the interweb, in Ontario, he is looking at 13 years. Keep in mind I am not a judge and do not play one on TV. I didn't even stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Do you foresee yourself wigging out on molly on a bus wielding a knife anytime soon?

Molly doesn't cause you to wig out in anger.

Molly causes you to be happy...content...contemplative even.

But no body on molly is going to be carrying around a nice for use on another living thing.

Was he going to throw the knife and seriously hurt them?

Seems they were far enough away from him that had he lunched they'd have had plenty to taser him..why shoot?

The last bit about looking like he was going to get back up again...

pfsssh! Cops need proper training. Clearly they haven't got it.
