All the comments about Trudeau being fit to lead a country because of his comments about Alberta ring pretty hollow. Our current PM said worse things about Atlantic Canadians, and most Canadians probably wouldn't claim Harper is unfit to be our Prime Minister.

Trudeau's comments are completely in-line with politicians playing to their audience. Who cares?

About the mutilation though? Fair enough. It is barbaric.

I agree, what i don't agree with and get tired really quick is how the topic is discussed on forums.
There is too much ridicule and that push your button attitude that i find pathetic .
We can bitch about politicians all we want but to me they are half the problem , we are the rest of it.
Talk to me about facts and not the nick picked ones but the ones that has the warts and all, talk to me about ideas and solutions.... the rest leave me out of .

The more we act like we do here now the more we are just puppets to these politicians .

I absolutely agree. How did we come to support "style" over substance? I think that's why Harper is so disliked in many areas of the country - he's not a PET - stylish, flamboyant etc., etc. Of the two, I would pick Harper any day. I want competence in my leadership, not quasi-hollywood style leader who don't know a debt from a credit, thank you very much.

Not unlike Obama, who I see as also someone who is very smooth and shallow and full of himself but as a leader, lacking in many qualities that would move his country forward; someone who still contends that printing more money will help the nation so mired in debt; who thinks spending more money will solve all the country's financial problems. Whose main source of communication is the John Stuart show (et al) and going to hollywood to be with other self-centered admirers.

A Mitt Romney may not be a movie star, but he would have at least made, in my opinion, a better leader overall by virtue of his experience if nothing else. The scare mongering that was so horribly present in the last US election was incredible.

I want to know what a Political Party can do to help ALL Canadians in ALL walks of life. I want responsible government spending. I want responsible government action of issues that are of concern to the people of our country. I want a tax code that is fair to all - personal and business. I want a government who is environmentally responsible but who doesn't fall to the dictates of radical unions and extremist environmentalists to the detriment of our country's future.

What does your party stand for? Canadians should not tolerate the crap that happened this year in the US come the next Cdn election and should be extremely vocal about it. While I may be 1 person, who knows, maybe more will echo the fact that scare mongering simply won't work anymore and must not be part of the process. All parties are guilty of this and Canadians must demand that it stop.

However, after all that, we have to live with what we have voted for since that's what democracy is all about. Unfortunately, it's not always very nice.

'K, preaching is over lol

I do not agree but you are a conservative and your mind set is there as clearly shown in your post. This too is part of the flaw we hold .

You're half right, Harper is head and shoulders above the likes of Pierre Trudeau. I think you are selling Obama short.

What has he done that the nation can actually afford?

What can he do that the nation can afford? There is no desire to get the problems solved south of the border. The US president does not wield the same power as the Canadian PM. There are too many checks and balances down there.

With their economic situation I doubt if "affording" is a criteria for doing anything that will improve the situation. Maybe they should sell Kansas, I've always thought it to be a boring state.

I don't understand what you are saying.... 'Affordability' is ultimately what got them in this mess to begin with; one might suggest that it is the only 'criterion' upon which plans be made

lol He seems to be more like his mother than his father, though.

YOU are scaring me.

That's scary, too. lol

Yep, and I don't think she's exactly stable either!

It has to do with the definition of affordability............... what can one afford if he's $17 billion in the glue?

... So, they can't afford it but you doubt if it's a criterion for not doing anything?

Okay Justin we know that you are a fan of Canadian Content so we are calling you out to clarify a few of your views. Now the pictures below are not for the faint of heart, but necessary to illustrate where you stand.

Now answer the question.

Is the mutilation of female genitalia barbaric or is that too strong a word?

Is honor killing barbaric or is that true strong a word?

Is Quebec a Province in Canada or is Canada Quebecs Bitch?

Take your time Justin, we don't want to take your replies out of context.

*graphic images removed*

Perhaps there is another way to get your point across sir.
Okay Justin we know that you are a fan of Canadian Content so we are.....

The U.S. +/- 3 zeros -:)

A wee bit of a difference there... BTW, it's + 3 zeros

What would be your first three choices of things he COULD do that the country can afford?

That's my point; I'm saying that there is too much they can't afford.... So, in effect, the question isn't what can they afford, but what can they cut-out in order to live within their means.
