Yes, and no.

Yes, and no.

I'd be a little annoyed if a bunch of white folk just up and tried to take over my la... Oh wait.
lol
Like Judeo-Christians did in Jerusalem (RE: one of the causes of the Crusades). lol

I think he uses the actions of a good number of Islamists, to point out the incompatibility of Islam and the western way of life.
uhuh And look how good we are at keeping our beaks out of ME affairs. Our stuff isn't exactly compatible with their stuff either.

Again, no, he's anti Islam, not anti Muslim. There is a huge difference. He's pretty particular with what he uses to show the issue he sees.
:D Yeah, and there's no animosity in him whatsoever about Islam and its followers. :D (scuse the sarcasm but it was funny)
I've sen him post material incorrectly, and immediately apologize or retract it when it's error is pointed out.

Meh, I've debated Colpy many times.

1, He WILL concede to fact.
2, He never uses the same crap over and over after it's been proven erroneous.
3, He freely and openly admits his bigotry towards Islam.
4, He doesn't make stuff up.
5, In short he's just honest.

I dig that.
I dig it, too, but it's pretty irrelevant what tools and methods he uses in his anti-ism.

That's pretty much what I was trying to convey.

You'll get no argument from me there.

:D Yeah, and there's no animosity in him whatsoever about Islam and its followers. :D (scuse the sarcasm but it was funny)
He isn't shy about it. I bet he'd absolutely just say it straight out, he has a lot of animosity for Islam.

I dig it, too, but it's pretty irrelevant what tools and methods he uses in his anti-ism.
Not to me. His honesty means a lot to me. Though I don't always agree with him. I always respect him and I know he will always be honest with me.

That counts for a lot with me.

Well, to me, anti- is anti- whatever one uses to express it. But I agree about the rest. I like Colpy .... mostly.
We're all anti something. Nobody, not even Gandhi was sans ant something.

Some hide it, some pretend they don't have some.

Being anti something doesn't make anybody a bad person.

The anti-Islam rhetoric sounds amazingly similar to the anti-Jewish propaganda of pre-war Germany. No one sounds credible who pursues that nonsense. There are countless Muslims no different from other Canadians in this country pursuing peace and the good life.

Yes, and no.

I'm down with the yes part, but where's the no coming from? As I understand it the first Crusade started when the pope gathered up the forces to drive the Jihad out of the "Holy Land".

Yeah I'm down with that too. My ancestors lost their land to a bunch of white folks that just up and took over. :)

The pilgrims were not necessarily welcomed with open arms, or received with fanfare.

Jihad isn't necessarily a surprising response.

In hindsight they probably should have disappeared the entire fleet.

Jihad isn't necessarily a surprising response.

Response to what? As I understand it the crusade was the response - to Islamic aggression. I hate to resort to Wikipedia, but for purposes of a light hearted discussion..... :)

The following seems pretty congruent with what I was taught:

The Crusades were originally launched in response to a call from the leaders of the Byzantine Empire for help to fight the expansion into Anatolia of Muslim Seljuk Turks who had cut off Christian access to Jerusalem, and were also sparked by the destruction of many Christian sacred sites and the persecution of Christians under the FatimidcaliphAl-Hakim.[1]

I'm agnostic, but I don't assume the worst about someone based on their religion.

Some Muslims are certifiably crazy, some are intolerant zealots, some have medieval attitudes... but the overwhelming majority are reasonable, peace loving and tolerant of other religions, atheists and agnostics like myself. I don't mind someone calling me a sinner or telling me I'll burn in hell for all eternity... as long as they are polite about it.

People who think that Sharia could take hold in the USA haven't a clue about their Constitution. Nor do they have any confidence in the rest of their population. They are fools.
And Sharia is no different from the RCC a few hundred years ago. And Sharia is no different than the corporatocracy in North America today.
