You are sick, and gerryh is correct... in this case.

I disagree. Had the girl been blond and blue eyed or a little Jewish princess she would have been buried with her brain.

This could have happened to any number of minorities in a Christian nation such as Canada; a Native American for example.

I don't know if you follow the news or not but there is a war of civilizations going on right now. This little girl is another of its victims.

If you think not then please provide a link of someone else being buried without a brain. If I'm wrong then it should be a fairly common occurrence. I would like a link to a little blond blue eyed girl buried "accidentally" without her brain.

That should be easy enough if I'm so wrong.

It’s really a tempest in a teacup isn’t it?
Oops they made a mistake. She’s as dead as she was before.
No harm, no foul in my opinion. I doubt God cares what's burnt or rotting in the ground at any particular moment.

That's not a true test. This may not have happened to a blond blue eyed girl simply because it's never happened before. If it is about race/religion, can you show me links to other muslim girls burried like this? Plus, it's entirely possible the coroner and pathologist have no idea what religion she is. The name is croatian, the mother is orthodox christian the father is muslim. The picture I saw of the girl shows a regular 7 year old girl in jeans and a t-shirt. She looks like my niece, hardly an obvious minority.

Too many people throw a racist card on everything. Sort of makes one wonder what sort of closet racist they are. A coroner is concerned with cause of death - not religious custom - not racial overtone. It happens. They are busy and overworked people. Even funeral homes can screw up....

Being buried without a brain is not nearly as bad as being born without a brain. It sounds like this whole mess is the result of everything not being put back after an autopsy. Seems to me this could have been handled a lot better, without all the religious fervor.

I made my original comments as a joke about Christians and cannibalism. There is a long tradition with them on this subject (see the crusades, the last supper, Catholicism etc).

I have no problem with someone thinking that such a joke isn't funny (every joke can't be funny to everyone) but I do have a problem with them moralizing that somehow it is in poor taste. I think such a plea is a violent attempt to suppress free speech.

As far as I know no one here knows the girl or the family in the OP? No one knows the doctors or coroner? So there is absolutely no reason the joke should offend anyone. It is completely preposterous!

Should they have held back the brain without permission? No.
Is the family's emotional reaction warranted? Emotion itself requires no justification.
Is this newsworthy? Not even remotely.

It is newsworthy, because this could happen to any family, and attention to these sorts of situations can be a good thing so you can know what you maybe getting into.

You may not think it is important, I do.... deal with it.

and what does what happened to this little girl and her family have to do with christians?

Simple answer is that Christians have more knowlege and respect for their own religious requirements for a funeral then they would for other religions, such as islam. Many here in our country don't really care for having organs left in the bodies, they donate organs, and so on..... but it isn't common practice in the christian practice to keep a body as it is, with all it's organs intact, not embalming, etc...... which some relgions practice, they should be aware of those beliefs, and they should be respected.

Christians had nothing to do with this....****ing scientists had everything to do with it.

And those scientists, even if they don't follow any paticular religion, still probably know more about christian religious practices then they do of other faiths, just based on volume in how much they deal with in the population of this nation...... if they didn't respect their faiths and their practices, they'd be in a world of sh*t...... but if it's a Muslim or some other wacky religion.... well.... who cares right?

Depends on what God you're talking about and what practices you were brought up to believe.

You can't claim they are wrong in what they believe anymore then they can claim you're wrong..... because none of it is provable..... therefore everybody's beliefs should be respected because none of us know for sure one way or another.
