It will do nothing because I was just being ironic. We writers have different manners of coming across with what we want to say. Besides, as both a victim and a survivor of gross human rights abuses in my native Argentina I am not about to being bullied or either explicitly/implicitly threatened by anyone. I have so far survived attempts on my life, how would I be afraid of what a peace-loving Canadian would do to me? Sue me for libel? No judge would buy it. Besides, I was just telling you good people, watch out! The world is not the way it looks like. You have no idea how much counterintelligence I've got a hold as a free-lance journalist. I was warning all of you not to fall into the kind of espionage games I have seen Argentine intelligence play here in the United States. Let me tell you, they are buying a lot of people here in the States; namely Conspiracy against Rights and/or conspiracy. To me, the forum is an outlet. I was not attacking whoever owns this site; I was asking you good Canadians whether or not you would like this issue I am raising to go viral. Do I have any evidence like Mordachai Vanunu? Not in the manner of pictures; but, yes, at the level of intelligence I know what I am saying. The Argies are a bunch of madmen; put nuclear weapons in the hands of madmen and you'll see the mess they make. Why do you think Iran is so desperate for the nukes? As for me offending the owner/s of this site, my apology if I did; it was not my intention. It may look offensive to those of you who are not familiar with counterintelligence matters; but in real life a government that harbors, secretly so, nuclear weapons will do anything, ANYTHING, to prevent the secret to spread. Forget about how kind Israel was when giving Vanunu a 20-year sentence: the Argies will kill anyone like a fly. Thus, far from accusing the owner/s of this forum of doing things illegal, I was warning them, and listen carefully to what I want to say: this issue of Argentina being nuke is a mess that can and probably lead to a war. For the West can't take nuts like the Argies having weapons of mass destruction. Yet, pay attention, now the West cannot accuse them of having the nukes, "Irak-weapons of mass destruction," for nobody would believe it. Thus I am taking the responsibility to spread the news; thus I put my name, address, and phone number, all of it real. People, it's risky business; I can assure you that the FBI has been sweeping the United States for any possibly "sleeper cell" attached to nukes. Concretely, I do not handle matters in terms of conspiracy theories; I have been working on the basis of whatever intelligence I could get, plus the kind of evidence one can get by seeing things, a lot of work as a serious investigative journalist I know how to do. So, I am asking the forum the following question: which side are you? Argentina or Great Britain? Think about it; think about the Argentine naval blockade of the Falklands, and how aggressive they are becoming, in terms of international policies, against Great Britain.
No, guy, it's not idiotic at all; besides, from the moment I am putting my head on the line to raise this issue it is because I fear nothing and no one. Besides, how do I know you are not working for the Argies? That was my point, guy: wake up to reality. When a secret like that is exposed, again, you can expect ANYTHING. Try it; post a thread, "Is Argentina nuke?," and you'll have a nice pecuniary offer from Argentina not to do it. Just because I am the first journalist who has the balls to expose one such an atrocity it does not mean that your attack Ad Hominem will erase the truth of my statement. If you feel insulted again and you really feel you can throw the first stone at me, go ahead, guy. Or cross the bridge and vandalize my home if you feel fascistic enough about it all. I just don't buy it that you are the kind of a "public defender" taking offence for something supposedly done to somebody else, yet which is most obviously a game of words. Read between the lines; just because someone signs "retired Marine Corps soldier" or whatever it does not mean he or she is what he or she looks like. Forums like this are the ideal place for intrigues, above all when someone like me, again, exposes something that can cause a lot of embarrassment nothing less than to a nation that, like Argentina, has really a lot to hide.
Can anyone REPLY to what this thread or what I propose is all about? Why are some of you so worried about the Immaculate Chastity of public debate? Maybe I am not getting the point that on the other side of the border there is no such thing, or, is it?, like Free Amendment. Some of you are modest enough to read and think; then I can be attacked. Yet those of you whose only weapon is attacks Ad Hominem are contributing nothing to the kind of a debate I am hereby proposing. You just take offense for others and try to discredit me on that line. That sounds like being bribed out to do it to me. For your knowledge, that is exactly the tact that Argentina has been using against me for years: slander, and attacks Ad Hominem. In real life, people take money to spy against their nation, so I would not be surprised at all that some of you hiding behind a fictitious name have, yes, indeed, taken money to do it. I want to apologize to everyone in this forum, including its owner/s, for the fundamental breach of social decorum I committed to convey what I had to say; particularly because there is in Canada the sort of a monarchic sense of decorum, different than ours here in the State. Yet I do not regret a thing having warned all of you of what the Western governments want to say nothing: Argentina does have the nukes. So please, please, do not travel to Argentina: it is far more dangerous than it looks like. Plus if any Canadian friend would want to pick my story, I would be glad to meet him or her in downtown Buffalo, where police officers are always around. Yet I am not recommending anyone to meddle with the above issuer; for instance by going to South Africa in order to buy information about it -way to dangerous. As for myself, I will post no more, as for the moment conventional wisdom about my native Argentina being a wonderful, peaceful democracy is hard to beat, just that, if you have not still read "The battle for the Falklands," by Max Hastings, you are not understanding what I meant; same naval battles with nuclear weapons on Argentina's side -NATO's worst horror scenario. Too hot to handle, even at the level of governments. Thus I am not going silent about it as well. The Battle of Hong Kong was in 1941. Of the 14,000 British Empire troops, only just under 2,000 of them were Canadians, and they had little field experience.
On the same morning as the attack on Pearl Harbor, forces of the Empire of Japan invaded British Hong Kong and met the stiff resistance of its garrison, composed of local troops as well as British, Canadian and Indian units. In less than a week the defenders - outnumbered four to one - abandoned the mainland, and less than two weeks later, with their position on the island untenable, the British colony surrendered.
On Christmas Day, the Japs marched into St Stephen's college, a Christian secondary school which was being used as a frontline military hospital, seized two doctors named Black and Witney and marched them away. They were later found dead and mutilated. They then burst into the wards and bayoneted to death a number of British, Indian and Canadian troops who were unable to hide. The survivors and their nurses were imprisoned within two rooms. Eventually the fighting moved away from the school, but a second wave of Japanese soldiers still arrived. They removed two Canadians from one of the rooms and mutilated and killed them outside. Many of the nurses next door were then dragged off to be gang raped by the Japanese soldiers. Over 100 people were killed.
The British territory of Hong Kong was then subjected to three years and eight months of Imperial Japanese administration. Japanese soldiers also terrorised the local population by murdering many, raping an estimated 10,000 women, and looting. General Takashi Sakai, who led the invasion of Hong Kong and subsequently served as governor for some time, was tried as a war criminal and executed by a firing squad in 1946.
They were a brutal and barbaric lot those Japs.
