Security guards and people on lunch? Yeah you're right. They hold ALL the answsers. Regular ****ing sages.

It doesn't surprise it just happened to be lunch and Levant just happened to be in a cafeteria. Where is he going next Sizzler?

...

Hey lurker - IdRatherBeSkiing - why don't you come out and play instead of just giving me neg. reps?

You're getting to Chev-levels of cowardice.

Audit,,,,,you got to be kidding????? If it's so transparent why are they afraid to answer questions.... So stupid!!

Typically, you'd have to ask the right people to answer questions, if you want rational answers.

But this was meant as entertainment theatre, and that's what it was. Almost as good as Billy, the halfwit redneck dimwit exterminator.

Now, all that said, and having watched the video, Ezra needs to do some research. Once one is informed they are trespassing, as he was, they can quite rightfully be removed using "whatever force is necessary". The CBC needs to have a LONG talk with their head of security.....who should not have engaged in debate, but simply informed the boys that they were trespassing on private property, and if they did not leave immediately, they would be forcibly removed. Repeat.

I believe that as an entity that is 100% taxpayer funded and is not an institution that maintains info that is of national security, I believe that Levant has the exact same right that the CBC uses in accessing all of the same public facilities that the CBC demands as their right on behalf of Canadians.

I believe that you would be well served to know and understand trespass law.

Right. It's transparency, not funding, which is the problem here.

I do agree with the transparency comment... The real point is that the most valuable component of the CBC is no where near related to their news broadcasts.

That said, why does the journalism component (and I use the term very loosely) receive so much of the proceeds of the federal funding.

I believe that you would be well served to know and understand trespass law.

All I'm saying is that Levant should be provided the same access (in principle) that CBC demands for itself.

Just checking out some of his credentials, and opinions. Here's an interesting one:

Views on Quebec

Levant favoured Quebec separatism and a yes vote during the 1995 Quebec referendum in a Calgary Sun column titled "10 Reasons to Hope for a Yes Victory"[5] Among his 10 reasons were Levant's views that the departure of Quebec from Canadian confederation would lead to the elimination of bilingualism and multiculturalism, that it would give the Canadian government the "fortitude" to say no to "other special interest groups" such as First Nations and environmentalists; it would end corruption in Parliament, which Levant blamed on Quebec politicians, and clear the way for Preston Manning to become Prime Minister of Canada.[6]
In 1996, Levant wrote a column saying that if the federal Liberals were re-elected, Alberta could separate from Canada making it "free from Quebec's demands."[6]

Entertaining, sensational, not really news, but quite illuminating.

As is this thread.

I wouldn't say that Ezra is your typical investigative reporter, or a reporter. But he's done nothing Marg Delahunty or Rick mercer hasn't done.

They get props, Ezra gets jeers.

Very telling.

Yep. Just like that.

The only difference being, Ezra's actually trying to make a point.

I got it.

The detractors in this thread either missed it because their blinders are to tight, or they really just don't get it.

No jeers from me, Bear; but--the voice!!! OMG, the VOICE!! Make a mare bite her colt.8O

Mercer, on the other hand, is a pandering twat who needs a firm kick in the nuts. Funny sometimes, but the all knowing wink and nudge, specially in "talking to Americans"=====TO SAY NOTHING of the skit, crawling up Stevo's arsehole, lips first. Puke.:-x

That's just because under that gruff exterior, you're just plain sensible.

I agree, some testosterone shots should help that.

I kinda like Mercer, and enjoy his rants and skits. But I.m young, impetuous and silly.

Ezra is a grandstander, fond of over-the-top theatrics......but his credentials in the battle for free speech are beyond reproach.

I agree completely on both parts. A lot of times Ezra is a little to over the top for my tastes, I can only take him in small doses, but I never for a second doubt his devotion to freedom of speech.

I enjoy Rick's Rants too. In fact, his Ezra Levant Rant is one of my favourites.

If they of the open-minded intelligentsia had the honesty and courage, they'd check into the CBC and perhaps prove Ezra wrong. It's easier too call him a dork or hack. Hell, he does that himself. He knows exactly what he did, he's not a stupid man.

Not to mention that so-called detractors and other such types would never have known about his visit and how CBC operates.

Some wouldn't sully or stain their browsers with Drudge, Lilley or Newsbusters. Stay blinded.

I cruise and check out CBC, Kos, Huffpo or MSNBC if that's where the story heads.

Mind you, I do wear a full body condom when I surf but that's maybe too much info for some or all. ;)
