My my my....

In the middle of charging to the rescue of a lying thieving American administration, which is by the way part opinion and part fact....like most propaganda.... we haul out nutbars like those mentioned....

We could pretend that Richard Nixon a thief and a liar (documented fact) was prepared to tell anyone who'd listen...anything that'd serve this gentleman's agenda....

We could throw our ideological support behind Ronald Reagan who with the help of Ollie North and Colin Powel operated an entirely illegal arms trade that involved Iran and the Contras in Nicaragua....

We could dismiss the various colourful irregularities in the Bill Clinton administration and simply suggest that Bill the Pill was no better/worse than John Kenneday when it came to indiscretions and evidence of dubious facility at making decisions and exercising good judgment....

We have Jean Chretien who had Canadians pay for the road to his cottage to be paved to save the government limo that he took to get away from the strenuous pace demanded by dodging pies and dancing the pepper-spray tango....

We have Paul Martin who stood in the House of Commons and railed against Canadian corporations not paying their fair share of taxes...while CSL was moved off-shore, ships were re-flagged and Canadian crews were fired so cheaper off-shore help took their places...

From the principle executives of both Canada and the United States there is ample evidence in the public record that they all lie cheat and steal when the "necessity" arises. We've had Canadian Senators living in Mexico while collecting their salaries as senators out of the public purse....

It's a benchmark of sorts that the same people who froth at the mouth every time their flimsy facades of "integrity" and "honesty" or for that matter, "transparency in government"...as indicated by both Stephen Harper and George Bush et al.... falls apart around them.

It's a pity that so many otherwise shrewd and critical thinking people in Canada and America would happily invoke their willing suspension of disbelief when the mountain of evidence available to us all clearly establishes the character and fabric of the nations leadership through graft corruption and lies....that is eagerly gulped down by these people who are so afraid their castles in the air are exactly what they are....fantasy.

very nice but you left out murderas in graft corruption and murder and genocide and finally terracide

all cost effective measures when you think of the prize-------------a reduction in value to 0 --------------------at a cost of everything-----------or maybe that's backwards?

Hey Beve..:)

That's part of the reason why these folk don't want to believe they're being lied to yet again....

You can't invade a nation and kill hundreds of thousands of people on a lie and exaggerations ....without the support of the taxpayers revelling in their blood money...

Every time these morons shop at WalMart and giggle with delight as they scoop another bargain at the Gab and Old Navy....or purchase poison toys from Matel and Fisher Price...or enjoy that cuppa...from Nestle's or Tim Hortons...that peons in fields being paid a dollar a day picked for the merchantile pirates of modern economics that so many here at CC regale as the foundation of prosperity....

As the income "gap" and socially sponsored poverty morphs into drugs crime prostitution and children kill each other in their comfortable middle-class American and Canadian schools...better to blame some "rag-head" off in Iran or Iraq or Rawanda or Yemen or Pakistan or anywhere other than right at home where the ignorance these people use as judgment is the actual source of the real crime that is accepted by these people as "normal"....

I've already wasted more time than this nonsense demands, because in the final analysis, these jerks are so afraid of accepting responsibility for anything from slavery and sweatshops to smuggled cigarrettes guns and drugs that has always and one might say "traditionally" followed after failed governments...that to support their fantasy and willing self-delusion, truth is something that inspires fear not anger.

......A few chickens coming home to roost, Mikey; who woulda thought eh?

What really ripped it for me was watching curious George continue reading the story of the goat to the kids, just after being "informed" of 9/11.

Wonderful world.

Stuffed parakeets delivered in socks on the mantle at Christmas time make wonderful gifts I've heard. Course those that read (parakeets that is) are exempt as Christmas stocking stuffers....

I have a friend who has an emu that reads....

But then he sings and makes fun of turkeys at Thanksgiving and Christmas too...
