Rapid Covid testing in England may be scaled back over false positives​

Exclusive: In leaked emails, Matt Hancock’s adviser says there is ‘urgent need for decisions’ on asymptomatic testing

Senior government officials have raised “urgent” concerns about the mass expansion of rapid coronavirus testing, estimating that as few as 2% to 10% of positive results may be accurate in places with low Covid rates, such as London.
Boris Johnson last week urged everyone in England to take two rapid-turnaround tests a week in the biggest expansion of the multibillion-pound testing programme to date.
However, leaked emails seen by the Guardian show that senior officials are now considering scaling back the widespread testing of people without symptoms, due to a growing number of false positives.

In one email, Ben Dyson, an executive director of strategy at the health department and one of health secretary Matt Hancock’s advisers, stressed the “fairly urgent need for decisions” on “the point at which we stop offering asymptomatic testing”.
On 9 April, the day everyone in England was able to order twice-weekly lateral flow device (LFD) tests, Dyson wrote: “As of today, someone who gets a positive LFD result in (say) London has at best a 25% chance of it being a true positive, but if it is a self-reported test potentially as low as 10% (on an optimistic assumption about specificity) or as low as 2% (on a more pessimistic assumption).”

He added that the department’s executive committee, which includes Hancock and the NHS test and trace chief, Dido Harding, would soon need to decide whether requiring people to self-isolate before a confirmatory PCR test “ceases to be reasonable” in low infection areas where there is a high likelihood of a positive result being wrong......More

PETITION: Save Pastor Artur Pawlowski
Pastor Artur Pawloski is being persecuted by the City of Calgary.
Pastor Art has been issued dozens of pandemic related tickets because he refuses to stop feeding the homeless. And he doesn't wear a mask when he does it outside. Art also doesn't limit his church service to 15 per cent of fire code. The city hates him for it.
The police visited Art's Church on Holy Saturday and he cast them out, not allowing them to disrupt his services. That video went viral.
After that video embarrassed not only the province of Alberta's Alberta Health Services, but also the City of Calgary police on an international scale, they came back. They're out to show Art who's boss.
The government's attained a secret warrant using secret evidence, without notice being provided to Art.
The warrant gives all sorts of powers, just like this:
The respondent, Art Pawlowski, together with any other person at the property shall grant access to any executive officer as defined in the act in order for him or her to attend the property without notice during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. to allow the executive officer to exercise his or her powers under section 59 of the act... In the event the respondent Arthur Pawlowski or any other person refuses to grant any executive offer access to the premises or hinders or interferes with the executive officer and the exercise of his or her powers, then any member of any Police service shall be permitted to accompany and assist the executive officer and use such reasonable force as they consider appropriate to gain access to the premises to allow the executive officer or anyone assisting the executive officer to exercise his or her pursuant to section 59 of the act.
So, if a health inspector isn't allowed to disrupt the sanctity of his church service, he will be taken before a judge, using any force necessary, and tossed in jail for contempt.
That means they can arrest Pastor Art and charge him. The cops can take him straight to jail and use as much force as they see fit to do it if he stops them from entering his church service.
It's hard to believe this is Canada.
But if we know anything about Pastor Art, he's not scared of the government and he's not backing down. He's willing to stand up and fight for his church and your church and my church, and for anybody who just wants to be left alone by the province during the pandemic.

But if you look at the .001 % ( human rights haters) who are getting rich ( like bezos and gates) from the lock downs and whatever else, it all makes perfectly good sense, and like Biden's SELECTION, is the BEST thing that ever happened...er...they ever done, I mean.

Researchers held an experimental indoor concert in Spain with no social distancing. No one contracted covid.​

The concert took place before coronavirus vaccines were available in Spain, but at a time when the number of infections was relatively low, with roughly 221 cases being reported for every 100,000 people in the Catalonia region. All participants were required to take rapid antigen tests ahead of the concert - a method of testing for the coronavirus that is less accurate than others but delivers results within minutes.

More than 1,000 people passed the test and became part of the experiment, with half ushered into the concert and the other half sent home as a control group. Two members of the control group tested positive for the coronavirus eight days later, the researchers found, but none of the concert attendees did.

While similar experiments have taken place in Germany, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands, the Barcelona researchers appear to be the first to publish their findings in a peer-reviewed scientific journal.

CDC says 'likely association' between COVID shot and rare heart inflammation in young people​

The CDC says the heart conditions mostly occurred in young men under the age of 30.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Wednesday there is a "likely association" between rare heart inflammation conditions in adolescents after they received their COVID-19 vaccine.

So far, there have been more than 1,200 cases of myocarditis or pericarditis, which is the inflammation of the heart muscle and the membrane surrounding the heart, respectively, in people under 30 who received either Pfizer or Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine, according to CNBC News.

"Clinical presentation of myocarditis cases following vaccination has been distinct, occurring most often within one week after dose two, with chest pain as the most common presentation," Dr. Grace Lee, chairwoman of the CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices.

She also said CDC officials are gathering more data to understand fully the risks and the possible connections.....More

Abstract​

Many countries introduced the requirement to wear masks in public spaces for containing SARS-CoV-2 making it commonplace in 2020. Up until now, there has been no comprehensive investigation as to the adverse health effects masks can cause. The aim was to find, test, evaluate and compile scientifically proven related side effects of wearing masks. For a quantitative evaluation, 44 mostly experimental studies were referenced, and for a substantive evaluation, 65 publications were found. The literature revealed relevant adverse effects of masks in numerous disciplines. In this paper, we refer to the psychological and physical deterioration as well as multiple symptoms described because of their consistent, recurrent and uniform presentation from different disciplines as a Mask-Induced Exhaustion Syndrome (MIES). We objectified evaluation evidenced changes in respiratory physiology of mask wearers with significant correlation of O2 drop and fatigue (p < 0.05), a clustered co-occurrence of respiratory impairment and O2 drop (67%), N95 mask and CO2 rise (82%), N95 mask and O2 drop (72%), N95 mask and headache (60%), respiratory impairment and temperature rise (88%), but also temperature rise and moisture (100%) under the masks.
