Ha! To celebrate the willingness of Abraham to sacrifice his son Ishmael ??? Abraham was willing to sacrifice his son Isaac, not Ishmael!!!
More lies from the "religion of peace".
The Torah says: he sacrificed his "only son", when Isaac was not born yet; had there been Isaac, he would not be 'his only son'.
But because Ezra the priest who re-wrote the present Torah; this Ezra hated the Arab, so he said: Isaac was the son to be sacrificed.
If one contemplates it: the trial of Abraham will be more severe, if he sacrifices his 'only son' whom he has no other son, while if he is told to sacrifice one son, when having another son, the sacrifice will not be so severe.
In fact, Abraham gets old and he had no son, then he married Aagar and got his first son Ishmael, so he loved him very much for he had no son then he got Ishmael ... and here the trial will be most severe .. to see he loves his son or he loves God more and so to obey God... and will he sacrifice his only son whom he loved very much.
Of course the Children of Israel want this honor to be to their father Isaac, rather than to their uncle Ishmael.
Anyhow, Isaac also was a respectful knowledgeable prophet.
Quran Soora 37:

And [Abraham] said: "I am leaving for [the worship of] my Lord; He will lead me [in my emigration, to a place that He will choose for me k.]"

l "My Lord, offer to me [a son who will be] righteous."

So We gave to him the good tidings of a clement boy [having a wise thinking and behavior m.]

And when [his son: Ishmael] was old enough to help him n, [Abraham] said: "My son, I have seen, in a dream, that I must sacrifice you. So consider [the matter]: what do you think? o "
[Ishmael] said: "My father, do that with which you are commanded.

He said also when they went up to the mountain and cast him on the ground and intended to sacrifice him:

11 And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.
12 And he said, Lay not your hand upon the lad, neither do you anything to him: for now I know that you fear God, seeing you have not withheld your son,

So see that God – be glorified – said: “your only son”: for Ishmael was his first born and was his ‘only son’ until Isaac was born and they became two.
So had it been meant Isaac, He wouldn’t have said: ‘your only son.’
Moreover, God – be glorified – mentioned the story of Abraham and his son whom he presented for sacrifice, in this soora of the Quran, before He mentioned Isaac, and He did not mention the pregnancy of Sarah with Isaac and the glad tidings for Abraham about his son but only after the end of the story; as in His saying – be glorified – in this aya which means: (And We gave him the good tidings of Isaac: a prophet: one of the righteous.)

I thought Ishmael was a gorilla.
Abraham was a Sumerian, not a Jew. Why is he the father of all the religions based on the war god of the desert? And why can't people accept that the story is a fable, not an historical fact?
The religion of God is not essentially a religion of war, but disbelievers, atheists and God's enemy will not let people pray God alone and will attack them so as to eradicate them and to eradicate God's worship.
If one doubts about this, let him see this forum, and how all of them jump and shout at my face once I mention the name of God, or Mohammed or the Quran.

God repels the disbelievers by the believers or else the atheism and disbelief will prevail and God's name will be forbidden.

If I were Muslim, I'd not eat the mutton though. A sheep is too cute and mutton is high in cholestorol. Better than most if not all other meats, granted, but still high in cholesterol compared to a vegan diet. I'd be the vegan Muslim if I were Muslim.
