How about....

These discussions are a collection of readings, videos and other helpful resources based on the webinars the NEWGroup has co-hosted with the New Economy Coalition over the past few years. There are currently five discussions, each of which focuses on an aspect of the systemic transformation required to transition to a new economy that is healthier and more sustainable. There is also an intro page that clearly and succinctly summarizes the goals of the new economy and our transformation vision.

So? What kind of economy Canada would be best suited for mentalfloss?

What is our best alternative?

We're in a transition period.

In 10 years we will be moving toward renewables.

Best to be prepared for that.

I have a idea, let's stop even trying to have a economy. Whoever is still alive in 10 years can regroup and take it from there. That sounds a lot better then resource exports.

Bongjour again.

Will or hope to?

You do realize in just two years you'll be $322.5 BILLION in the hole?

What will another 8 years do?

Who in their right mind would set up shop in Province whose debt load will be paid by higher taxation?

Energy? 30 years behind the Chinamen and crippling debt will lead you where?

Like I suggested, their plan is to tank our economy and in 10 years whoever is still alive can pick it up from there.

Nobody will set up in a Province with a AA- credit rating and crippling debt. It's why they are leaving, how will it attract new investment?

resources economy is our only option.

In 40 years all of China will have become so toxic humans will no longer be able to live there. And then manufacturing will go destroy Africa.

And South America. Wandering around downtown Santiago or Lima is no different than wandering around downtown Vancouver for Chinese immigrants to SA Nationals ratios.

Without Oil canada would be 100 time worst then what we are today

Canada is hurting because we can't compete with China's child slavery and zero regulations on manufacturing.

That has nothing to do with oil prices.

Like I said. In 40 years most of China will be a toxic waste land. ;)

in the recent year... in the recent month... new forceful environmental regulations have become law in China. The highest of government officials have acknowledged the most obvious problem and offered the Chinese people a commitment to work to resolve their concerns. Of course, China bashers will choose to suggest the Chinese government doesn't care about it's people... doesn't care about world perception on Chinese problems, particularly those that cross borderless atmospheres and ocean currents. Bashers also conveniently ignore the cycle of required 70s/80s environmental protection and regulation that occurred in North America.

The one where freeloaders are entitled to their entitlements. As long as someone else is footing the bill they are happy.

By passing the buck. It's Alberta's fault your Province is f-cked.

Recall Flossy bitching and moaning about Dutch Disease?

It's all that Flossy and the convenient-socialists understand... It's never their fault, always someone elses

Like I said, everything is just fine.

Wish we could say the same thing about other parts of the country but such is life.

$287 billion and counting... Yeah, sure... Everything is just fine
