Well, Spicer referred to JT has 'Joe from Canada', how stupid and gauche is this man?? If he forgot Trudeau's name, as a man supposedly experienced in public speaking, he should have said " The Prime Minister of Canada". What is with these bozo's!! They keep giving SNL more and more material for free!!

Whoever chose Spicer as Press Sec obviously didn't bother to find out if he was qualified for the job - so far it appears that he isn't.

He probably didn't know that Canada had a prime minister or even how to pronounce trudeau
And he should , Why exactly ? Americans aren't well known for their knowledge of other countries and their respective political systems . We are constantly reminded of the ignorant American on these threads daily .
You should feel smug in the knowledge that you are Canadian and far superior to any sad sack American .
And besides it is fun looking down your nose at those poor slobs .

And he should , Why exactly ?

Because he holds an important position in the administration and Canada is an important friend, ally and trading partner.

I should be astonished that I have to explain that but, not surprisingly, I'm not. I anticipated I would have to

I'd love to see Justin and Donald have a boxing match. That would be great. It would be so great, so great. People would get tired of the greatness

Yuge, it'd be Yuge

so far it's looking like that's how you get a job with trump. As long as you know nothing about the job, you're hired. Remember? He wanted to drain the swamp? Seems he meant of people who know how to do the job.

The look from our PM...priceless. It's like trump is trying to hand him a half eaten donut.

i wonder if it was a so called Freudian slip
joe trudeau....joe stalin...joke obomba
ah.....the left behind

You are so right! Justin Trudeau is EXACTLY like Joe Stalin.

I can't tell them apart, either.

The look from our PM...priceless. It's like trump is trying to hand him a half eaten donut.

That's because Trump really did just offer him a donut ... an alternate donut.

And he should , Why exactly ? Americans aren't well known for their knowledge of other countries and their respective political systems.
... or very much else, for that matter.
[see: Sean Spicer and his extensive bank of knowledge.]

Consider the source.

It was quite interesting to see the CBC analysis of the body language of the meeting. Apparently Trudeau completely dominated the Dumpster physically.

ROFLMAO. Apparently CBC didn't watch the same footage the rest of the world did.

He probably didn't know that Canada had a prime minister or even how to pronounce trudeau

And you can't even spell it. trudOWE.

Actually the BBC had the same view as did other news outlets.

Donald Trump vs Justin Trudeau: The political handshake - BBC News

Here is one from a link that specializes in music - wasn't hard to find it is all over the internet.

Justin Trudeau Owns Donald Trump In Handshake Battle | Rock 95

and another

'The handshake': Trudeau resists Trump 'jerk and pull' | CTV News

He is another of a different handshake.

Justin Trudeau's handshake with Donald Trump the 'biggest display of dominance in the history of Canada'

You really should check out news from a source that isn't alt-right.

Ya see, that's why Trumpites are quickly becoming the biggest laughing stocks in political history. Feebly trying to compare CTV and CBC to SNL. Your silliness and sniffity sniff-fest does more to make Trumpites look stupid then Trump's horrendous bungling.

Trump should just publicly accept that this first month has been an epic gong show and acknowledge that he has to do better. Blaming everybody else for your incompetence only works on your hard core supporters. As we've shown here repeatedly, they're stupid and will believe anything

Oh Boy! It's really stretching when a handshake has to be scrutinized and analyzed. How petty can we get?
It will be soooooo nice when something other than Trump's presidency dominates the news.
So far he's be analyzed and criticized for the way he looks, the way he talks, his handshake, his age, his marital status, he business dealings, his wealth, his policies. People even know how and what he thinks. According to them!
The media and the public are so damned wise and all-knowing, it's amazing that some of them haven't run for the Presidency!
Arm chair critics, all.

Maybe trumps inability to accept his mistakes is the reason he's made so many? If you won't acknowledge when you've made a mistake and pass the blame how can you ever learn from that experience?

The handshake is part of body language. Body language is hugely important. Especially in politics where it's all about the verbal spin. Some people are better at it then others and those that are good at it get further ahead.

It really is not the media's doing. It is not inventing the news, the Dumpster is doing that for them. His grandstanding, continual tweeting, poorly thought policies, and blatant lies have given the media a seemingly never-ending source of stories. Previous presidents were smart enough to realize that the best way to deal with the media was to ignore them, but the Dumpster just keeps on sticking his head up like a dandelion waiting for a lawnmower.

That is how scared the establishment is.

Just in case you haven't figured it out, the Dumpster appointed senior members of the establishment to his cabinet.

True. But then, previous Presidents were also smart enough to know that smooth talking dupes the people.
Trump hides nothing. That might be preferable.
