With all due respect to both of you...

You are wrong, for we are not on the road to separation.

In my opinion if you do not know Quebecers or their mentality how can you judge (out of hand) what they want.

The Bloc was smart to get into Federal politics so they know what is going on and why should they not.

Every province wants to do better by Ottawa but for the Bloc that wasn't enough and they did the rational thing -- protect themselves.

Just an observation.

It's not Quebecers - les bon homme - or their mentalities we have to worry about. They only know what they're led to believe - the same as everyone else. It's the Quebequois - the shyte disturbers - who are out for the best deal for themselves.

The disturbers are just that....they are bankrupt and Quebecers are not dissatisfied anymore than other Canadians so with all due respect to you what is the problem.

Bankrupt? That means they'll be wanting to warm their hands in pockets that aren't their own again. I know Quebec isn't about to separate. The threat has been too beneficial a gimmick. I vote NO. Let 'em go.

In fact, you hear far more "whining" from the Albertans than you hear from Quebec these days and they have even less to stamp their little feet about than Quebeckers.

If we placate Quebec, we will eventually have to cave in to the petty demands out of Alberts. What''s after that? PEI want's to be distinct becasue they're an island?
