I see that the Asper's are trying to see if there are any buyers for their string of newspapers. It should be interesting to learn which conglomerate picks them up..

That will be interesting. I doubt they'll be willing to sell them to anybody on left, they've been using their media empire as a political bludgeon for too long to let it get into the hands of their opposition.

The National Post never has made a penny in profits, so it's amazing they blew so much cash on it. It's all tax deductable anyway to millionaires and an interesting hobby. It was a fair paper when it began :(

All it ever was to them was a political tool though...they didn't care if it made money as long as it promoted their interests. Because of the way they used it to promote those interests the National Post became a joke though, so it was no longer an effective political tool.

I don't really care if he has a royal title or not, actually. He gave up his Canadian citizenship to get it, he paid cash for it. Those two things render it pretty much meaningless.

JJ, people like you always think they are being backed into a corner because they are afraid of their own shadows. Don't threaten me, JJ. It's rude.

No we don't always think we are being backed into a corner, and we are not afraid of our own shadows. In fact it is the left who is always afraid; Hence the want to write unnecessary laws.

I'm not threatening you. I'm telling you straight out, ppl like me don't squirm, we react.

The rest of this thread isn't worth arguing over, you get to hot under the collar, surprise, surprise.
