You can soften it all you want, you wanted RCS to prove Harper wasn't as you claimed.

Nope. He said that IF RCS proved otherwise THEN he would apologize.

If my wife goes shopping, I will go with her. Only in CB's goofy mind is that statement a demand for my wife to go shopping.

I twice now have offered proof. Maybe third time is the charm (though I INCREDIBLY highly doubt it - lol)...

Just go over everything the man has ever said in public and that is my proof.
Yep you and Joey here, are cut from the same cloth.

Obviously, you have probably seen the same things as I have and taken a different position on the man.
My opinion of Harper, is based on tangible fact, and I can cite each individual act.

That's the difference between you, me and Joey here. I deal in evidence, you two deal in imagination.

Have a nice day.
Only if you and Joey keep posting.

There's no "if" in his statement.

Making that ridiculous comparison, well, ridiculous.

Troll on clown prince.

And you do not see the difference between 'demand' and 'want'?
You didn't ask, you simply said "Provide". Making it a demand.

I doubt it.

Have a nice day.
Keep posting.

Well...then if you have access to all these facts...

...then can you please show me unbiased, factual proof that PM Harper is not 'a power hungry, emotionally unbalanced person who cares far more about staying in power then he does in making Canada a better country'

You didn't ask, you simply said "Provide". Making it a demand.

Once again...

Demand definition

'request urgently and forcefully'

define:demand - Google Search

Where was my request 'urgent' or forceful'?

And I meant it in the context of a statement that IF he provides me with the information THEN I will apologize.

Cannuck has it dead right.

That's your position to either prove or leave as an example of your highly charged ideological imagination.

My position has already been stated. I think he's a pandering politician, that hasn't lived up to his promises. But I deal in reality, not imagination. So I don't need to use an ideological imagination to make up stuff about him.

Northern Ontario,
After looking at a new piece of machinery in the mill that had just been built and installed one man turned to me with words of wisdom when he said "Before you can become an engineer the first lesson is to loose all common sense"

Well "Before you can become a politician, you have to loose all Integrity"

Tone is everything.

I'm sure you want me to believe that now.

Cannuck has it dead right.
I'm sure you believe that. I'll stay tuned for when he isn't your cuddly buddy and he's doing the same thing I am to you, in the future. Only worse, he just makes stuff up about you as he goes along.

I can't wait to say, "I told you so"...

Tone is everything.

Definitions of tone on the Web:

the quality of a person's voice; "he began in a conversational tone"; "he spoke in a nervous tone of voice"
(linguistics) a pitch or change in pitch of the voice that serves to distinguish words in tonal languages; "the Beijing dialect uses four tones"

define:tone - Google Search

Tone? On an online chat forum?

Uhhhh.....yeaaaah.

In other words...you cannot.

And I cannot prove my belief is correct either.

Are we done yet?

I take it you don't read books eh?

An author can set a tone in script. But hey, you and Joey are good buddies, I'm sure you two can come up with some other goal post, or twist of word, to keep the stupidity flowing.

hmmm...

McRocket

I can get on here and say Count Ignatieff is an opportunist, an import, a narcissist, a man who only came home to claim the promised crown, a power hungry, ivory-tower intellectual with the common sense of a starling, and the ethics of an alley cat.

The difference is I'd be correct on all Counts.... (pun intended, lol)

But it all adds exactly NOTHING to the debate.

There's no "if" in his statement.

Of course there is. While he didn't actually type the word "if", anyone with an ounce of common sense can see that it is an if/then statement. Of course, it's clear that you have been confused by this so obviously the polite thing to do (as well as the smart thing) would be to ask for clarification to help clear up this confusion.

So, for clarity sake let's ask the original poster if his statement was intended as a demand or an if/then statement.....oH...wait...I think that's already been answered. OK then...moving on...

Now that you admitted you can't prove your opinion, yes.

Where did I say I could? I did not.

I still believe what I believe about the man.

But I cannot factually prove it. How could anyone factually prove what a man is inside - especially when they do not know him?

Nor can you that my belief is wrong.

That is why I said it was my 'belief'.

SHEESH....I assumed ALL OF THAT would have been obvious.

I guess the old saying 'never assume' has merit.

Well that excludes you, so who told you that?

What would you know about commonsense and politeness?

Where did I say I could? I did not.
You said it was ut there in his statements and public appearances.

I still believe what I believe about the man.
I'm sure you do, even though there is no substance to support it.

But I cannot factually prove it.
Then how can you believe it?

Nor can you that my belief is wrong.
How do you prove someones imagination wrong?

That is why I said it was my 'belief'.
I get that.

Quite.

Maybe not to you....;)
Nor I.
