Every mineral has certain healing properties. Its quite amazing actually. My Apache Tear (obsidian) Holds my grief my florite intensifies my phycic muscles, Amazonite creates a feeling of power, smokey quartz calming, amethyst brings clarity.

I have all these stones in my medicine bag.

My medicine bag has corundum for protection against negative thoughts, bloodstone as my birthstone, quartz for it's all around good properties, and amber because it is so old and once came from a living thing and now is a mineral. A sun carved woolly mammoth ivory medallion is afixed to the bag. I wear it always except at work and in bed (it's hard and lumpy to sleep on).

I think I'll try this tomorrow night its one of my Sisters

Shrimp Mozambique
2 to 4 servings

1 pound medium shrimp ( 26-30ct ) peeled and deveined
2 packets Goya seasoning (con azafran)
1/2 stick butter
1/2 cup red wine
6 cloves minced garlic
1/4 of a squeezed lemon (2 teaspoons juice)
1/2 cup water
6 Portuguese pops (bread rolls) salt
pepper
onion powder
fresh chopped parsley
crushed red pepper (or red pepper sauce) or cayenne pepper, optional

Add water and butter in a pot or large skillet and simmer on low until butter melts. Add Goya, garlic, salt , pepper and onion. Stir and simmer on low for 3-4 minutes.

Add shrimp and wine, stir, and turn up the heat. When the sauce just begins to boil, lower heat, cover, and simmer on very low heat for 4-5 minutes. Stir occasionally.

Add lemon juice and parsley. Stir, cover, and simmer on very low for 4-5 minutes.

Spoon shrimp and sauce into bowls. Serve with bread on the side for dipping into the sauce.

Dinner minus the bread

I made a executive decision to spend the budget on inexpensive meats while they were on sale. I have a real problem with anemia so protiens are important. I dont like red meat much. Fae always provides and Im to fat to worry about starvation.

From a health point of view mayhaps spending budget on veggies, fruits and grains would be healthier with a token portion of flesh for proteins?

Wow, the pre heart attack me might have said same thing but would've been totally hypocritical about it.

LOL Im not crazy about most takeout. I'll get chineese once in a great while. I just cant see spending my money on something I can cook better.

I found a package of orzo in the drawer and cooked it up with a packet of the goya seasoning. I added the left overs from the night before and if I had broccolli it would have been perfect. That was last nights dinner. Sometimes leftovers are better than the first time around.
