He runs the largest charity in the world, & still stand in line like the rest of us, for burger, fries & Coke...that’s how real winners behave.

I do have a story. Apparently, years ago, he and Melinda went into a local antique shop (they own an Island somehwere close by). The store owner saw Melinda looking at a vase listed at $80. The owner said he'd sell it to her for $40. Supposedly Bill felt embarrased and offered him $80. He jokingly told Bill that it would be $80 for him, but it's $40 for her. Bill gave him $40, then the Gates took the shop owner out for lunch. Not sure how accurate or true but that's how it was told to me.
