In the early 80's there was a documentary called "The Man Who Saw Tomorrow". It was about Nostradamas and the first part was about all the things he predicted. I was just a kid at the time but I was amazed at all the things he did predict. THEN the second part was his predictions on the future.
Ted Kennedy was going to be president...and assisnated.
A major earthquake in Los Angeles 1988
A Soviet-Greater Arabia (newly formed country) attack on Western Countries including a nuclear strike on New York in 1999. (He missed Peristroika and the collapse of the Soviet Union Oooops!)
WWIII would last 20+

I have been aware of this for a while, juan. I only hope they are wrong by about ten days and the world ends on 1st January 2013, and not on 21 December 2012.
We don’t want to be deprived of Christmas celebrations, parties, Christmas dinner etc. After the new year's party, most people will have a terrible hangover on 1st January anyway, and they probably will wish that they were dead. They will welcome the end of the world.

The sun rises in the west? WOW That'll annoy a whole bunch of Imams who always tell their subjects to pray to the east at sunup.
It rises in the east over here. Even when we went to Belize it rose in the east there, too.
The mayan's had a good calender due to agriculture ..A great feat...But they couldn't calculate the 365.333333333... So eventually ,whether they realized it or not ..The calendar slowly goes out of sync / out of date...
