When Johnny comes marching home again
Hurrah, Hurrah,
Will he be able to use his cellphone again?
Hurrah, Hurrah,
Will he have pieces of IED's
Or use of his legs below his knees
When Johnny comes marching home..

Time to get the kids home. Isn't it?

Pardon my militant MoFo attitude...

The words "DIE ASSHOLES" just jumps into my mind as I day dream of leaning back on the 7.62mm Minigun in the door of a Blackhawk.

But as you heard the reporter said that the other people have different ideas. The demonstration is at the university where teachers brainwash the students, just like the separatists did in Quebec several year ago. Students are a fertile ground for activism and it also looked as if they had been drilled.

The thousands of Iranians who mindlessly chant "Death to America" aren't that different than millions of Americans who mindlessly support their President's vision of death and destruction throughout the middle east.

Its a fact that most Americans supported laying waste to Iraq, despite a lack of credible evidence linking Iraq to the events of 9/11 or possession of a WMD threat. Push the right buttons and most Americans can be easily convinced to mindlessly support war with Iran.

Recent numbers:

But if America's fearless leaders want to bomb Iran, convincing the mindless masses will be the easy part.

...Later in the conversation, Gilbert recorded Goering's observations that the common people can always be manipulated into supporting and fighting wars by their political leaders:

[SIZE=-1]We got around to the subject of war again and I said that, contrary to his attitude, I did not think that the common people are very thankful for leaders who bring them war and destruction.

"Why, of course, the people don't want war," Goering shrugged. "Why would some poor slob on a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best that he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece. Naturally, the common people don't want war; neither in Russia nor in England nor in America, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy or a fascist dictatorship or a Parliament or a Communist dictatorship."

"There is one difference," I pointed out. "In a democracy the people have some say in the matter through their elected representatives, and in the United States only Congress can declare wars."
"Oh, that is all well and good, but, voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country."

Yep, it sure does.

The hard part will be the mission. Iran will not fall as easily as Iraq. Iran is a democratically elected theocracy not a military dictorship. Iranians do not want Americans to invade and occupy their country. Iran has been preparing for an American invasion by producing large quantities of man portable weapons capable of taking out American tanks and low flying aircraft. Iran possesses a sophisticated Russian made anti-aircraft system capable of taking out warplanes at altitude. Iran also possesses their own advanced anti-ship torpedoes and missiles, surface to surface missiles and other threats the US cannot easily defend against. In the event of war, casualties will be high on both sides.

The American public is already tired of war. While they can easily be manipulated in the short term into supporting a war with Iran, their support won't last long.

Most Iranians don't have a problem with the American people. Their problem is with the American government and its foreign policies. Most Iranians know America's leaders want to lay waste to their country just like Iraq. Iraq is an example of what happens to oil rich countries the US doesn't like which can't defend themselves. You can't blame Iranians for not wanting the same fate as their Iraqi neighbors.

Get the sand out of your eyes. Iran is hardly a democracy nor is it elected. Iran is run by the Revolutionary Council which is appointed by themselves. The Revolutionary Council calls all of the shots. The President of Iran is a figure head and a mouth piece for the council. Opposition parties are silenced and jailed. This blow hard Armahandi (or whatever way he spells it) is nothing more than a puppet. The Revolutionary Council rules Iran and answers to NO ONE.

I don't want or regard "America's Death" as anything desirable...

I want to see America regain its footing and stop letting greedy corporations manipulate governments and administrations into creating a climate of fear and danger that can only generate hostility not prevent it....

When will America take back its government?

You're a very reasonable and forgiving man Mikey, I'm not like that, I wouldn't let a rabid dog run through a schoolyard just because it used to be a cuddly puppy. America will never take back it's government it dosen't even know it has one, remember thier all rugged individualists who hate government. They don't have a chance, it's already too late.blah blah blah etc etc;
